Hyperstrada Buyers Guide: Important before buying your Hyperstrada...

IIRC, 2015-16 was when Duc made all HS models Low only. Only caution is if you upgrade the rear suspension. If done right, it will raise seat height.

    The Suspension Thread!!! BOOING

Uncle Brad, that scan is very helpful. I searched exhaustively for this manual as mine did not come with one. There's even an old discussion here - maybe even this thread - where I was asking about the factory baseline and adjustment. I did a rudimentary sag setup with a friend after installing...

    The Suspension Thread!!! BOOING

I had the Andreani's done at a Duc dealer in Naples, Italy. The manager definitely asked my weight. I read a lot of threads on Andreani inserts but never saw a discussion of spring rates. I think they're adequate but I've monkey'd with the adjusters too much. Despite reading scads of articles...

    2023 Ducati Multistrada Pictures

I've got my sites set on the V4S. Could still sway to S 1000 XR. I just need a better tourer and I think this gen looks good. Hell, I even like the red one. But mostly that motor and dynamic cruise has me drooling. Gas mileage ain't pretty but it's still in the 30s. Agree that Ducati should...

    The Suspension Thread!!! BOOING

I honestly don't. Wasn't aware Andreani had optional spring rates when I purchased. I weigh about 185 in full gear and typically travel with an extra 25lbs in luggage.

Hyperstrada Buyers Guide: Important before buying your Hyperstrada...

Not deal breakers, but, things I wish I had known before purchasing my 821: - Must remove fuel tank to service air filter and top plug/ coil pack. I challenge anyone to a flint-lock pistol duel that says this isn't that big of a deal. I've removed my tank a dozen times and it's never fun or...

    The Suspension Thread!!! BOOING

I did the 105/D09E Andreani drop in's when they were about the only option back in 2016. Got a decent open box discounted set on eBay. Ran those with stock standard height rear shock until around 2020, when I got the time and $$$ to install a fantastic Ohlins TTX - fully adjustable but does not...

    New Ducati DesertX

We should probably wait to see if it actually competes in something like the Dakar before judging it's capability. To me, looks like they finally took aim at the GS, which has similar weight and power, albeit much different approach to engine layout and drivetrain. I like these shakeups. Like...

    New Ducati DesertX

If I had a ranch or state park close by, it would be an option. The enduro design never particularly struck my fancy, but admittedly not an off road guy. Really smart design. Ducati has really stepped up there technical game, which is crucial in today's automotive market. It's certainly the most...

    2022 MV Brutale 800RR - I may have to...

Tell you what. Before I purchase another bike, I'm certainly checking how hard it is to change the air filter or remove the fuel tank.

    BoosterPlug vs. Rapid Bike Easy

Bro, I have to google acronyms all the time. This place isn't so bad but like a reddit for video games...like a different language.

Can i use the thottle of supersport for hypermotard 939?

I don't think the magnet in the throttle can "wear out". The pickup sensor could malfunction, but I would try dealer TPS resets first. My limp mode and stalling issue on my '13 was related to software.

Valve Cover Gasket Sealant... Where does it go?

My biggest fear with sealing the engine case was bleed over on the internal side. I don't think I had any problems with the job(s) I did but the OCD in me had to be sure every surface had enough sealant. The bleed over on the open side wasn't too bad but I always hated thinking about what...

    2022 MV Brutale 800RR - I may have to...

It's dead sexy. I'd probably do the 1000RR but what really pisses me off is how they get 30 more hp out of a 20cc smaller motor. I guess that's 10+ hp per $1K. It's a weekend only bike but MV have always nailed styling. I ran with one a couple years ago here in Italy and couldn't believe how...

What's everyone using for removing the large nut holding the rear wheel on?

That's the one I have. It works as expected. As long as you avoid cheap Chinese eBay junk, should be fine. Maybe buy a fancy new anodized nut just in case. Also, I didn't reuse the lock pins just because it's a part of the bike I want to know is secure. Also plus, it's a very nice and visible...

What's everyone using for removing the large nut holding the rear wheel on?

I bought a cheap double socket and it was a bad move. Too shallow and did more damage than good. Ended up buying a more legit Speedymoto socket and it was much better.

BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

No tuner I know of taps into the ambient temp sensor. That's the only thing BP does, which is not a tuner. Makes the stock ECU richen mixture by fooling it. The RB Easy can manipulate AFR a bit, but not in this crappy low end because of the ECU construct. This is where my expertise ends as how...

New Member - First post - Forks

Goodmatt78, welcome and cheers! I can't answer any of you questions on the fork internals but will say the following: I never bottomed out the stock travel on the street, they are **** for pushing hard but not bad for casual to moderate riding, I had heavier oil put in mine early in its life and...

BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

Well, it's the cheapest. If you're looking for a bit of smoothing and a tune, then a tuner/flash would be better. I'd say this alone is perfect if you just want a smoother low end and don't want to add a bunch of aftermarket parts or spend a lot of money. I had a nice cool weather ride just a...
