BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

Just remembered something else I noticed on first ride. The decel in that slow zone is considerably less violent. Rolling off throttle was gentle and smooth. It really is like a different bike in the urban/ slow zone now.

BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

Haven't touched the software. I just installed the BP and it's been a biblical 2 weeks straight of rain here. My bike lives in one of those clamshell tents so can't open up the guts when it's raining. I really don't know enough about ECU tuning to make educated adjustments. I always just copy...

BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

Should also note that Araitim and I are running this in tandem with a tuner (RapidBike Evo). I didn't notice any adverse reaction, though I have a laundry list of ECU and engine issues going in. I haven't adjusted any of the tuner settings yet but don't think it will cause any problems based on...

BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning for the Hypermotard-Hyperstrada

This device has come up in a few threads but wanted to get a dedicated post for it. Please comment if you installed one and give your impression. Booster Plug Quick Overview (1-10 scale): -Installation Difficulty - 3 -Cost - 5 -Function - 10 -Customer Support - 10 The debate about why the...

    Aprilia Coils ?

Jer, I have the short corded pair left from the full V4 set I bought. You'll have to do some splicing for sure but PM if interested.

    Remapping a Hyper 939

There's lots of testimonials out there about the BoosterPlug solving low end Ducati twin fueling issues. Just installed mine and will test soon. It's actually beautifully simplistic, which would be a tough pill to swallow if it was $200 or more. I think it's priced right if it does the...

    Gear indicator

Just installed the booster plug. It started...that's as far as I've gotten. Trying to unlock the Melcodiag at the same time. Weather is **** so probably a couple days before I can ride. Really want to see what codes are hiding in the ECU, too. I still have "---------" for mileage, though...

    Gear indicator

A QS saves you from upsetting a line by pulling the clutch and jolting the balance in a lean. I'm struggling to get mine right. Just received diag kit and booster plug. Still heading to the shop soon.

    Gear indicator

It's my most prized mod. I think selling any performance bike without a GI is criminal. And let me just crush any of those certain "just remember yer gear, bra". This cog box is relatively close ratio (more so with sprocket changes) and, being a pilot, never limit the amount of info I can...

    brake light stuck on

Ya...I'm pretty awesome. Cheers and congrats. At some point in the future, you'll be asking yourself why your current issue couldn't be as easy to fix as that stupid rear brake light. Keep this site alive with knowledge, no matter how insignificant. Can't say its the best but, we have some...

Anyone else still on their stock battery? I have a '14 821 and it's still perfect.

On Gen 1, if you hold lower menu scroll button for maybe 5 seconds on left control group, you enter a maintenance sub menu. Check it out. You can monitor RPM, Battery level, reset the dash backlight back to low (defaults high). There's even a lap timer that Ive never used

    Aprilia Coils ?

I had over 20K miles with no coil induced issues. Swapped to Aprilia just because. Didn't affect anything.

Anyone else still on their stock battery? I have a '14 821 and it's still perfect.

PSA - I've experienced a couple unusual phenomena with my Hyper that ultimately related to bad battery/ low charge. Bad starter, bad ECU, bad coils, dead dash, more. If you haven't found the "BATT" monitor on your maintenance dash, check it out. I had a Shorai LiPo for almost 5 years and it...

    New to me 2016 low

They're rubber. Basically a big timing belt. Will degrade with time.

    What rearsets are these?

Those look pretty custom. Possibly homemade based on the pretty basic geometric shapes used and machined surface. Definitely not any of the common high end units. Good thread here: https://hyperstrada.com/threads/list-of-rearsets-options.4796/#post-34355 If you just want a passenger peg for...

    939 Rough running, wont rev/accelerate

Good luck. I have the RB blanker plug and it never solved any of my issues. Bike always ran exactly the same when I used, which leads me to question if the Evo is even working. It definitely has some functionality as it gets all readings to the software and manipulates the QS.

    Swing Arm Axle

Brake parts cleaner to the rescue... Maybe one of those dental hygiene suction tools. I'll find the shortcut.

    Swing Arm Axle

That's ******* scary. Do you ride in the rain? I ride in the rain often. I don't pressure wash my bike (I wouldn't use a pressure washer on any vehicle I care about) but I certainly spray a hose in all the nooks and crannies when I was it, which is probably too much. But not from the bottom...
