Jason,
Go in Shift Assist section à Main Settings and double-click on “Preload” while keeping SHIFT key pressed on keyboard. You notice the hidden options are available because a new button “Reset” appears (don’t need to use it anyway – consider that hidden options are usually options that are...
Nick, add a QS module, heated vest/gloves loom, multiple accessory additions, servo delete spoofer, that LED splice you might use again...it gets tight. The racing seat seams to have a little less give, as well.
Makes sense if they wired it correctly. If the LED controller wasn't seeing the correct resistance, it would short to some mode. Glad you figured it out as lighting issues can get ugly.
Unplugged the QS controller module and no stuttering/ misfires. Even my long plagued 2nd gear @ 8K rpm seams to be gone, though I can't see the correlation. Sucks cause I'm addicted to it. I'll write Dimsport and see what they say.
I have a Shorai. Probably 5 years old and works fine. I do have to warm mine quite a bit in average winter temps (30's - 40's) but I believe my upgraded power wire kit will help a lot with that. It fires much faster since install. Check Araitims thread. The weight saving on an already light...
The big photo instructions that came with my Evo 6 years ago were adequate. Some youtube and another popular forum filled in the gaps. Dimsport does struggle with their Italian->English translation but, their stuff is very high quality. If you have to pull the tank and tap leads, might as...
Many have. You have to "warm them up" in colder temps, but well worth the efficiency and weight savings, in my book. I did nothing except recently fitted a new ground/pwr/starter lead kit. If you ride in extremely cold environments you may not want to run it year round.
Again, my knowledge is only 1st and 2nd gen (stopped paying attention after that) but, you could NOT take the standard motard forks and slap them on a Strada. Pretty sure the same was true for the rear. It definitely had more travel. I don't remember why, just remember they are different. It...
Tim, I read a very similar manual on last diagnosis and turned on Auto cut-off. My load cell bar was right in the middle static, and responded to push/pull pressure, albeit very slight on push. What worried me is in the QS manual it stated a static measure of 4.5V, I believe. Mine was only...
The base motard still had a non-adjustable suspension, at least the early generations that I was familiar with did. If all you want is great stock off-road suspension, then this is the wrong bike. It comes with street tires for a reason. I'd still want luggage, bigger alternator and...
A puff of dark smoke under full chat is OK. Only time I saw excessive smoke turned out to be a cracked rear header, which is more common than we talk about. My smoke was light to medium grey and it will seem like its coming from under the seat.
My setup hasn't even been rained on. Maybe 1 month of installed use. I can tell something is working correctly as pressure for downshift does nothing and triggering the load sensor on upshift cuts timing. When I was troubleshooting yesterday, the load capacitance tab showed volts hovering...
Dude, I'm stuck again. My QS is chattering on the cogs and consistently misses under high load. I tightened up the loose nuts and took it pretty much back to default. The only thing that changed since it was working great was I got a new set of boots. To recap, QS was working phenomenally...
I've come to love my CEL. We've been dating steady for 3 yrs. We have an understanding: As long as she runs right, I'll look the other way when you light up.
So, thought my found loose shifter linkage was causing my misfires under load. Still had it after tightening things up. Now, I did mess with the shifter settings a bit on my last wrench fest so decided to go back to the software.
I found a decent DIMSPORT leaflet on setting a similar kit...
^^^This just happened to me. I suspected something with the quick shifter since I could feel a lot more slop in shifts. A nut backed off and gave enough play to create misfires in multiple gears under heavy throttle.
