    Stalling issue

Pulling the tank is a bitch. And R/R the airbox is worse. They hung a lot of somewhat fragile leads, lines and sensor stacks on the bottom of the airbox, which literally takes all my 190 lbs to force back on the TB stacks. Couple that with I'm a bit fat handed when it comes to delicate work...

    Stalling issue

Carbureted vehicles were the only times I was constantly playing with idle speed. I think the theory is the ECU uses all it's data to maintain optimal idle...probably some emissions reasons in there too. I can tell you two specific issues I had that affected idle/ stalling and excessive engine...

    Canister Removal DIY

Think of it as the start of the a glorious path to extreme weight savings. I've probably shed 30 lbs, which I tend to replace in gear for daily commute. Very noticeable when I slick her out for weekend rides. The OEM battery and slip on are probably 20 lbs alone.

    Stalling issue

Was your Rexxer tune specifically for a stock setup? Most of the base tunes are for increased intake flow and at least a slip on. The crappy OEM map is super lean at low RPM/ idle so the piggy backs or flash tunes generally make the mixture richer down low. If you didn't free up the flow...

    Stalling issue

Do you still have the emissions canister on? Pipe and air filter mods with Rexxer flash? Mine doesn't stall between shifts but it will occasionally stall or the idle will hunt low when I come to stop after a fast highway run. More commonly during summer heat.

    Canister Removal DIY

My dealer said mine "fell off" after my 600 mile service. I didn't even recognize it when these posts first started. That cover isn't ugly but I swear that on the 821 it was just the black canister hanging naked. Save those hose clamps. They are sprinkled throughout the air and coolant...

    Stalling issue

I don't know. Was just told there was an "update" for the TPS. This was in 2013, very early after I got it.

    Canister Removal DIY

actually looks like it just pops off that rectangular ledge on the canister itself.

    Canister Removal DIY

9-10-18 got through 17 and does something with the cover. All I can say for sure is all those brackets and pieces surrounding the canister go in the **** can when you remove it.

    Stalling issue

You have a 939, which shared some early issues with the 821. On the first gen, there was an issue where the bike would stall while on the roll, either when the throttle was rolled to idle or the clutch was engaged. I dealt with this when my 2013 821 was brand new. The fix was supposed to be a...

    Cuts out

Could have been the starter post was wonky. It was oddly wobbly when I ran the new lead so I re-seated that. However, I think I just had a poor connection at the battery. The new wire kit is heavy gauge, very stiff and it was really struggling to make the bend to terminal posts. Next day...

    Cuts out

I fixed my electrical issue and was pleased to find that my ECU didn't get scrambled after multiple "M.A.E" events. Saved my service mileage tracker and even my gear indicator kept it's reference library.

    Touring Windscreen

It's the little 'fly screen' that looks like it belongs on a motard. I think they're modeled after a Ducati Performance screen that was offered. Sorry, don't have a picture available but I bought mine off a listing in classifieds about a 2 years ago if you want to search. I'm sure all the...

    Touring Windscreen

Call me a slave to fashion, but, those lips are just ugly on this bike. Reminds me of the old flip up sunglasses. This bikes design language just wasn't meant to have a giant touring screen over the beak. That's why the OEM is small and clear, and also why it looks sexier with the smaller...

    Removal of air injection system

There's a little notch on the inside of the starter control assembly that must be there to help you get the tensioned spring in the notch of top shell. Just wouldn't fall into the notch. Next problem when I started landing the spring tension was the spring not staying in the race and getting...

    Starting/ Starter Issue

Bones, almost forgot why I installed the new wires. My starter, which is a new Denso unit, was chugging. Especially when it was colder out. I know you have to warm Lithium batteries up in colder temps but mine was way out of spec. I would have to run the high beams for nearly 5 minutes, plus...

    Removal of air injection system

btw, you need a T-25 security torx to get this open. The ones with the hollow center for a security pin.

    Removal of air injection system

Bro, screw taking the throttle apart. I broke it open and all was well until I tried putting it back together. Friggin' spring tension puzzle. I forgot how much I hate those. Took me an hour of aching hands and much cursing to get it right. Seriously thought it would be the one stupid thing...

Mupo AB1 Evo Rear Shock for Ducati Hypermotard

Probably get dual-speed dampening. That's the exclusive perk that cost buku bucks. I have a top tier Ohlins and the only thing it doesn't have is dual speed dampening. If I had the extra cash, I would get it. If you only ride one medium - highway or urban - probably a waste.

    Starting/ Starter Issue

Francesca is alive! Gently fiddled with the starter post and left the lead on without securing. Hooked the battery back up and vroom! Honestly, I was struggling with the new ground/ battery wires. Very stiff and setup for OEM lead acid. Had to really fight the memory of all the aux wires...
