    Spare fuel Hyperstrada

Looks like the MRA if I'm not mistaken.

    Removing headlight lens?

It is removable. It is also a pain in the ass. I can't recall off the top of my head the temp I used, but I think around 270-290 F. For about 10-15 mins a pop between trying to pry the lens off.

Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

Good to hear everything went great. Shame about the weather not cooperating though.

Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

The short lead will reach the front cylinder connector if it is unclipped from the frame.

Bad Starter is actually a bad Shorai

While I don't have a DR, I do have a 1st gen KLR650. My stator should be 196 watts. Switching to the mosfet regulator did make a difference. My volt meter claims that I'm even charging at idle now. While running, it edges towards overcharging.

Bad Starter is actually a bad Shorai

I know about parasitic drain, but was addressing your comment about heated gear ruining the battery. My shorai sits for months in my Hyperstrada and fires right up when I'm ready to go. I bought my only Shorai back in May of 2011. It has never seen a charger, and despite sitting for 3-5...

Bad Starter is actually a bad Shorai

Hyp noob, the only time anything should be draining the battery is before start or at idle speeds. When moving, everything should be powered by the alternator. Vehicle batteries are a secondary per source with the alternator being primary.

    Can't make up my mind!....

You may notice a slight performance gap between the two. Although they share the same motor and transmission, the rear sprockets differ by 1 tooth. The Monster has a 46, with the Motard/Strada being a 45.

    Chain and sprockets recommendation?

On its own it doesn't really change performance. It still uses the stock cush drive unless you get the stiffer ones from them. They won't really improve performance, but take a tiny bit of flex out of the driveline. The biggest benefit is being able to change the rear sprocket without...

Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

The 11-17 Tuono shares the same coils. I got mine from a 2013 Tuono. Of course ebay prices are always changing. Not sure if they are used on any car. Only other option is to order OEM at $80.85 each from AF1 racing. If you order new OEM just get 2 long lead P/N: 857501.

Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

I bought mine off of ebay. I bought a set of 4 from someone, and sold the other 2 coils to someone else off the board. Depending on the price of the coils it can be done without spending too much money, especially if you can split the cost with someone from here.

    Rear Sets Question

You won't need new rear sets, but you may need some spacers to take the place of the bracket to be removed. Check the parts diagram for the regular motard.

    821 healtech quickshift instal

It is on the coil packs right on top of each cylinder. There are some pictures here.

    Where'd my rear brake go?

Do check the pads. The caliper has a little ledge built into it to keep from pushing the pad backing plate into the rotors when the pads are almost fully used up.

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

I'm not too familiar with roads south of Nashville, but if there's any interesting roads between Huntsville and there, I could do some riding with you and see if there's anything I can help out with.

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

It is what I was going to suggest. The torque curve is different than the Kawis. Without watching you, I can't really give any specific advice. You ever ride up anywhere close to the Nashville area? No remap, or aftermarket fueling will change the throttle response unless it changes the...
