    Good news/Bad news

Good news there, UpMap has mapping specifically for that pipe. Pretty sure the map disables the butterfly valve after which you can either remove it or just ignore it (that's my current plan).

Spark.it Force Race 3/4 exhaust vs Shift-Tech slip on

Bike looks great with that pipe!

    Good news/Bad news

2016 has the 939 engine as I recall. Stock fueling is pretty much terrible, in fact worse than the 821. I think they screwed things up to meet Euro4 standards. My SP has the same symptoms, stumbling, backfiring or farting at time under low or maintenance throttle, more noticeable at lower speeds...

    An issue with heated grips

I've only had time installed for a few months so no issues. I'd see if the dealer can take a look and or warranty it if it's not too old.

    Termignoni Carbon Refurb?

Good to know, I'll have to source a kit so I'm ready. I need to do the pipe on my DRZ as well, it loud AF. I'll probably drop in the quiet insert at the same time, hopefully that doesn't mess up the jetting.

    Termignoni Carbon Refurb?

Interesting, I've known about repacking being needed for dirt bikes and the exhausts seem to be designed for it (my FMF has allens bolt to remove the silencer cover) seems like this isn't commonly done for street bikes and as far as I can tell with the Termi you'd need to drill out the rivets to...

    Termignoni Carbon Refurb?

Interesting, I have the same pipe and have noticed the color of the CF changing a bit around the tip. Presumably due to heat, hopefully it doesn't de-laminate like this.

    Canister Removal DIY

Without a canister they vent to the air. Hard starting when hot on an 821 is more than likely indicating that your starter is weak which is a known issue. In some cases it'll just be awkward to start when warm and that is it, in others it can get worse and die entirely. There's a thread on here...

    Starter Motor Failure

Yes, I believe 5 years is about the life for the belts even if you haven't hit the mileage interval, if you do that, I'd do valves as well and be done with it for another 5 years / 18k

    Biggest PITA Job?

Fully aware and I often wonder why they couldn't have done that for the Hyper. I suppose having more of the tank in the frame instead of sitting on top of it makes sense given how tall the bike is, but damn. I dread the 6k from now when I'll need to clean my sprinter filter...

    Biggest PITA Job?

Headlight ones are awesome in comparison, but also annoying. I could only get like 1/16 of a turn before I had to reset the tool in this tight space, I think it took my longer to get that bolt in and out than it did to fumble with the tank.

    Biggest PITA Job?

I'm still angry about this one bolt when I was swapping out my airbox lid. I haven't pulled the rear wheel or tried to bleed the rear brake yet but the fluid is looking pretty dark, so I'm about due.

    Starter Motor Failure

Starter and sprag clutch can go bad on these. A weak starter motor can put extra load on the sprag clutch causing it to fail, as I understand it. Best bet is probably to replace both.

    SuperSport Pannier/ Luggage Swap DIY

Makes sense, weight higher up in a lean is probably link a lever arm to an extent, so if the tire lets go you have more leverage to throw it to the ground.

    Rear Suspension Swap

No suspension expert but I'd bias towards fun. I have my bike set for me with gear only. When I do need to carry anything I try to keep the weight down and just adjust in the twisties by shifting my weight forward to keep things as balanced as possible. I hunt down bad pavement in the mountains...
