    Canister Removal DIY

Hard to say from this, but it does look like this bracket (17) slides onto the cannister. Looks like it might have something that catches to keep it from easily sliding off.

    Stalling issue

You may need to have your throttle bodies synced, or possibly cleaned as they can get dirty and if they do that can cause airflow problems when the throttle is closed abruptly.

    Canister Removal DIY

I believe if my memory serves me that it attaches to the cannister via a clip. I think I slid it up to disengage but I can't remember that bit for certain.

    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

Got mine back from the dealer. They saw the code for the MAP sensor but it was transient and the sensor tested fine. They put some miles on it and nothing came up. As I work has been getting me down since my new role and my skills don't line up very well, I decided the obvious solution was to...

    restore crummy looking display??

When I was a kid and we'd visit family in Montana I'd wake up in the morning sticking to my sleeping bag (we slept in a tent which my parents sold as an adventure bu practically there just wasn't that much room in the house) from all the Deep Woods Off we'd use. They lived on right by the river...

    Mystery switch

That makes sense, and probably cleaner than having wires on the handlebar.

    Mystery switch

    Maybe for a heated seat?

    Hi there..

Nice score and welcome, they are fun bikes to be sure!

    Mystery switch

Whatever it is, definitely not stock. Custom seat, maybe it's heated? Could also be connected to the batter as a means to cut power entirely to prevent parasitic drain when the bike is sitting for a long time?

Brake light intermittent with front brake

Does the bike have aftermarket levers? Regardless, it's probably the switch, either the levers installed don't contact the brake light switch firmly, or the switch itself has dirty contacts and needs to be cleaned or replaced.

    restore crummy looking display??

I would be hesitant to use a headlight restorer kit since the dash has a matte finish which would be buffed away with those kits, I'd expect.

    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

Interesting, my bike is an 939 SP, I'll be interested to see what errors show up when it goes to the dealer Friday. It does go back to normal after shutting it off, and usually that is the last of the problems for a day. This weekend however it did this twice in the same day which makes it a...

    Remapping a Hyper 939

Curious to hear if that helps, my bike would chug, falter and backfire quite a bit under light throttle application under 5k. With the airbox lid and T800 tune it's much better but will still exhibit subtle symptoms from time to time.

    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

So I went a looked at the diagram, I wonder if a dirty throttle body could be causing a partial blockage of the port the sensor tube connects too and causing out of bounds readings? Guessing that is not gonna be a warranty condition and probably means I should just get in there and clean things up.

    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

Good info, thanks Tim! Bike is going to the dealer on Friday so I'll post up what they find. That said they tend to just check codes and replace parts so I'm not sure how much troubleshooting will happen. And yeah, the stuff I used is a thick grease sold my no toil designed to seal the lip of...

Hoping for a new HS in Ducati

I don't think we'll see one unfortunately. The redesigned subframe for the 950 is lighter, but weaker than previous models so it won't be able to accommodate the weight of bags and or a top case. Probably still possible to tour with it, just strap a light loaded bag on the tail.

    Welcome, it's a fun bike!

    Remapping a Hyper 939

I was talking with a local shop here about doing this. The guy claimed to have done this for another owner and that dyno + flash + a power commander for fuel control was the way to go. I didn't end up going through with it as of yet.

    Rapidbike mpg

I don't think I'm all that fast, though I do spend a lot of time on roads that keep the bike in the lower gears. I am a big heavy sail though, so any time I'm on the freeway at or above 80mph I'm sure it's costing me extra fuel. My fuel light comes on around 80 - 90 miles depending on how much...

    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

I'd prefer to delete it if I can't find the root cause of these continuing to fail as it's a little sketchy the way the bike just cuts power immediately, but it could just be dirt as I did wipe down the airbox and ran a rag around the intake while I had the filter out which may have allowed some...
