    Consistently Consuming MAP sensors

Had the bike drop into limp mode twice on my ride yesterday after less than 1500 miles in a new MAP sensor, which was replaced after I'd get a limp mode event daily on a road trip a month prior. Also had one of the sensors replaced back in 2019 for the same issue / symptoms at which time the...

    Rapidbike mpg

I've been getting around 35mpg or so since the bike was new. If I'm nice on the throttle I can get up in the low 40s, but it's hard to go easy on the throttle on this bike.

Starace RSR velocity stacks 821/939 install

I bought my RSR intake from him last year mid-pandemic. He was responsive on FB messenger and even with Italy shut down I think I had it within a month or so (time last year was kind of a blur). Whatever the case, never felt sketchy.

Day two and loving the 939

Welcome, every time I ride mine I think to myself, I'm never selling this bike.

    Touring on the Hyperstrada

Wow, that last shot! I love touring on my motard as the joy for me is the ride and having a smaller bike I can hustle on the back roads makes the trip fun. I hear the race seat is better than stock, I've definitely found myself getting a bit sore near the end of a trip on the stock seat. Given...

    Termignoni Carbon Refurb?

Gonna say this pipe was not intended to be serviceable. Due to the shape of the sleeve and the size of the inner core, there's not way to get the sleeve off. I did find almost no hi temp sealant around the tip and you can see a lot of soot suggesting exhaust blow by which is what I suspect was...

    Wild Moto Camping in Ireland

Pretty cool! And at some points, actually cool it appears!

Poor idle and throttle not responding.

Also, I'd check to confirm, but that year might have had a warranty recall on the throttle position sensor, which if bad I suppose could cause this as well.

Poor idle and throttle not responding.

Sounds like limp mode. If the bike detects any issues (often caused by a bad sensor or electrical fault) it'll drop into limp mode which allows you to ride to the shoulder safely. Last time this happened to me it was caused by a loose ground, so it's very sensitive to that it seems. I've also...

    Swing Arm Axle

Ah, well then, I'm stock down there bolt-wise so I'm gonna leave that well enough alone :-) I do suspect I should service the rear hub soon-ish however. That job seems more straight forward.

Consensus on surging/low throttle - Rapid Bike Easy or reflash?

I have heard that contacting them via email is the way to get the right stuff, never tried however. This is anecdotal US based info btw :-)

Consensus on surging/low throttle - Rapid Bike Easy or reflash?

No, it's more plug and play. I think the Rexxer would give you better results.

    Swing Arm Axle

Out of curiosity, what prompted you to do this? Mileage alone or something acting up?

Consensus on surging/low throttle - Rapid Bike Easy or reflash?

T800 helped (similar to the Rapid Bike Easy) as it does a light flash of the motor, the results are good enough for me, but I do stil encounter some surging / stumbling from time to time. For the best option find a shop that can do a dyno tune, let them know how you ride it (track tune will be...

    PSA - Cracked Header Pipe

Good to know, I'll have to check mine. I'm sure 24k and bumpy backroads haven't done it any favors. It definitely runs hot and I've noticed the carbon tip on my Termi pipe is starting to discolor, I've check it a few times during rides and it gets really hot so I suspect the carbon will...

    Headline aiming

Well I cheated and waited until dark and just pulled my bike a car length or so behind a parked car and then adjusted the up down setting until the hotspot from the light was cutting off around the level of the cars trunk. Took it for a spin last night after a bike night and I am pleased with...

    Headline aiming

Tried this last night while cleaning the bike. While I can in fact get the show think off, you still the wiring in the way to without cutting some zip ties to free that up there's not really enough room to fiddle with the bulb. In theory a nice feature but in function it's probably just as easy...

Well this certainly confirms I've been doing it the hard way!
