    After the Cannister

My 939 is lightly modified. Termi low mount slip on, 2 up on the rear sprocket (which makes it match a stock 821 gearing) Star.Ace airbox lid with a Sprinter filer and the Termi UpMap T800 with a map designed for said airbox lid and a stock pipe (slip on has a cat in it so it farts about the...

    Side stand antics

In the city I hear good things about this gal who has a history at MotoGuild and just opened her own shop, lots of Ducati experience - Moto Lucia I haven't tried her yet but she's gonna be the next person to touch the bike. For all work to date that hasn't been done by the dealership under a...

    After the Cannister

It's all that character! If I was a bit more ambitious I take the thing apart and confirm no issues with the intake / velocity stacks / injectors, but, given that it works well enough after the tune and airbox and never misses a beat when the roads get fun, laziness wins.

    Side stand antics

Less about free play and more about how the engage the clutch switch. Mine didn't engage the switch enough so the bike always thought the clutch was pulled in which prompts the ECU to aggressively cut power at 8500. Presumably you could have the opposite problem with the switch always being...

    After the Cannister

I should also mention I ran the bike dry (ish) once and noticed air being sucked into the tank when I pulled the cap to see. I could hear a little fuel sloshing around. Put the cap back on and it started and ran, but died after a few hundred feet. The dealer thought the vent hose might be...

    After the Cannister

You guys are getting much better mileage than me. I usually get the fuel light coming on around 80 - 90. Filling up I'm usually putting in around 2.5 gallons. I've had it come on at 60 before but that was a throttle heavy ride.

    DNA HQ Raided by FBI?!?

Heh, I'v had mine pretty far apart, no dice.

Ducati hypermotard wont rev 8.5 RPM

It's your clutch switch, almost certainly. Did you install aftermarket levers? I had the same issue and had to tweak the metal lever that engages / disengages the switch which resolved the issue.

    Kneading clutch engine stall

Ah, ya know what, I started noticing the near stall right after I applied the tune. I suspect the dealer didn't reset or sync the TPS when they had it in for the 18k service because, of course they wouldn't.

    Kneading clutch engine stall

False neutrals seem to be a thing with these bikes, you just have to be very assertive with your shifts :-) Mine doesn't die often though I have read about that being an issue if the rubber boots on the throttle bodies has degraded. I have noticed that pulling in the clutch while engine braking...

    Forged vs cast wheel

No paint issue with my 2018 SP wheels. I have a few nicks on middle of the rear from the front kicking up rocks and I often ride roads where the pavement is an afterthought. I keep the suspension relatively soft but I've slammed a few unexpected potholes and generally ride this thing like it's a...

    Starace hand guards!

True on the price / damage, but I assume when buying expensive bling that a crash will cost me. Case and point being the LightTec peg / shift / brake levers I bought. They're perdy and the pegs offer a nice wide platform but I don't expect there'd by anything left in a slide and probably not in...

    Starace hand guards!

I think these will look good on the Hyper, certainly better than the Barkbusters I have mounted, though I think my Storms provide better wind protection and crash protection which was the main reason I went with them. I am intrigued by the Star.ace guards, but I've switched bars and don't have...

    Headline aiming

haha, well, I rarely use the brights in populated areas except an occasional blip to see into blind corners, various highway onramps being prime offenders :-D last time I had them on was a sunrise ride and am pretty sure I was illuminating the road in front of riders ahead of me from around a...

    Headline aiming

Makes sense, I really just want to see if I can aim it in a way where it's throwing more like on the road. As much as I like cars getting out of my way, I prefer not to be the super bright headlight person :-)

    Canister Removal DIY

I pulled the lines off that and left the power connected. No errors and the dealer didn't mention anything when they had it in for the 18k service.

    Headline aiming

Has anyone managed to do this? I've read the owners manual but for one, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access those screws with the headlight on the bike. Secondly, I don't really have a good place to perform the proper method with the tape marks on a wall as my garage is small...

    Good news/Bad news

Northern California you say? I'm in SF, there's a bunch of Ducati owners in the area who hold meet-ups and rides (well not so much with the current state of things, but still). Good group and also a good way to find all the fun backroads.

Spark.it Force Race 3/4 exhaust vs Shift-Tech slip on

It should with a few heat cycles, but I don't hate it standing out. I was briefly considering the Akra header for no good reason aside from the color it turns. Couldn't justify the 1k and it didn't look like it'd be plug and play with my Termi slip on so I never pulled the trigger.

    Good news/Bad news

Not sure about the KTM one, with Ducait it defaults to open, I closes a certain revs (speeds maybe?) and then opens again when out of that range. Ostensibly to provide back pressure for more low end torque but it's really just a sound issue.
