    3-27-19 Eurosports Motorcycle Auction

Unfortunately I haven't started my new job yet so I can't afford to bid on anything. Otherwise I would be all over the Ducati tool kits and the TERMIGNONI low slip-on mufflers. Go figure....

    3-27-19 Eurosports Motorcycle Auction

Eurosports is the local Ducati dealership in my area which is going out of business and auctioning their remaining assets. Looks to be some good stuff - tools, gear, aftermarket and factory parts etc. https://tomhallauctions.hibid.com/catalog/161824/3-27-19--eurosports-motorcycle-auction/...

    Black bodywork turning milky?

I'll try giving that car guys stuff a shot I guess. Thanks! I have the same problem with the custom headlight I put on my Savage but it's anodized aluminum. That I'm just going to have to spray paint.

    Black bodywork turning milky?

I keep my bikes garaged at home but they spend alot of time out in the sun regardless. The black plastic bodywork on my HS is turning sun bleached and milky. Is there anything that can be done to restore it?

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 900? Any thoughts?

I wasn't black shoe I was an airman (AE3). The rate no longer exists because no more component level troubleshooting required. At 1st I worked on F-14 Tomcats and they were all component level and mechanical troubleshooting. Then I cross trained for the F/A-18 Hornet and things got module...

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 900? Any thoughts?

Conversely I worked as an electronics R&D tech back in the 90's and also an avionics tech during my time in the Navy. But without any technical documentation on the electronics and firmware onboard the bikes from the manufacturers it's asking too much to work on that stuff yourself. I really...

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 900? Any thoughts?

I do work on my bikes, namely my Suzuki Savage but that's a low tech bike making it easy to work on. The Ducati with its advanced technology is a serious stumbling block. I'm sure I can physically replace my blown dash but without the means to sync it with the ECU there's no option but to take...

    Greetings from Philadelphia

    Human Popsicle Season Gear Advice?

The salt is such a nuisance. Last week while riding my Savage out on route 82 in bumblefuck-land on my way to Reading PA I came upon a steep windy hill doing about 55 and near the top in a sharp curve to the right the sand/salt was a good 1/2" deep. The bike went sideways on me and I had to do...

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 900? Any thoughts?

I love the HS but I really need to consider other options now with no local Ducati service for her. There were two places nearby when I bought her and now there's none. The clutch upgrade is the best money I've spent on this bike so far. Luckily I haven't had starter problems yet. When I do I...

    Human Popsicle Season Gear Advice?

Update: All the above mentioned gear is now being put through its second winter and has held up nicely. I didn’t have to replace any of it this season. The silk glove liners have worked out well BTW.

    Moto Guzzi V85 Pre-Order?

Yes you can actually preorder the bike! https://prebookingusav85tt.motoguzzi.com/ While that’s all very convenient and modern does it actually make any sense? The idea of preorders for motorcycles kinda bugs me. How do you place an order for something you haven’t ridden? Especially when it’s a...

    Starter Motor Replacement DIY

Are you saying that this isn't the regular price for a new battery ???

    Greetings from Philadelphia

Also someone here recommended thin silk gloves beneath your riding gloves and it works like a charm. I’ve been wearing them for two winters now and recommend it myself.

    Greetings from Philadelphia

Welcome and congrats on your new Hyper! The big problem with riding this time of year is all the areas of excess salt and sand on the road. A few weeks ago while riding my Suzuki up a long curvy hill I hit a heavily sanded spot and started sliding sideways and slid right into the oncoming lane...

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 900? Any thoughts?

The Dorsadoro suspension seemed fine to me on my short ride but really I'd need much more time on the road with one to really get the feel of it. The forks didn't have as much dive as the hyper during braking. But the brakes were different too - less bite. There wasn't as much feel to them...

    New Kicks

Also if you haven’t done so already you ought to change up one of your riding modes for off road I used my touring mode because I never had any use for it . It’s now set for TC off, ABS off, and the lowest engine power setting. If the surface is very loose I’ll put ABS on 1. This custom mode...

    New Kicks

Philthys streets are worse than the surface of the moon and after I put on my TKC80s I couldn’t imagine how anyone survived those streets on street tires The TKC80S need to be scrubbed in for 125 miles on my HS before I can ride aggressively on the pavement with them. Marty I know some...

"Error" and all dash lights flashing, Fan Turns on, No Start...

Venting, definitely. I'm pretty pissed with my HS since its forced me to ride this winter out on my Suzuki Savage which can't power my heated gear. So I'm a bit bitter from being bitter cold for the past several months riding the thumper. I read that DIYing this repair was a non-option due to...
