On its way, Nick I don't think so. From what I'm reading, you're replacing part of #19 in the diagram below, which simply attaches to the hole at the back end of the rear brake lever. It's a little tight, but you can simply remove screw #11 below.

Yep, I concur. I've been all over Arizona and some parts of California and New Mexico, and the Coronado Trail is, hands down, my favorite road so far; twisties, elevation, history and almost non-existent traffic. Glad the changes are mostly working for you.
