just unscrew it a bit and the whole stud will come out with the cover. Then you can figure out how to lock the stud into where it should be.

Have you removed the charcoal canister? Throttle bodies could need cleaning, my old bike would die because it got some oil/dirt in the idle circuit passages.

Well the reason I ask about gearing is that my 2014 Hyper was weird. When I changed the gearing I couldn't rev past 8000 anymore, but only in 2nd gear. The other gears were fine... Do you get flashing red lights when you hit 8k? Does it feel like a rev limiter?

You can't really jump the switches. You need it open for starting the bike, and you need it closed so it doesn't think the clutch is always pulled in. Do you have stock gearing?

That was a known issue on these bikes. Not sure when/if they fixed it, but the steering lock only engaged the fork crown by about 1mm so it was easy to force it even accidentally and muck it up.

It actually is up to you depending on if you want to raise or lower the geometry. From what I recall the stock position is 12 oclock because rotating the adjuster clockwise tightens the chain.
