    New Hyper 950

Hmm... Not sure I'm sold on the styling. But the dash looks pretty neat. Doesn't look like too much of a change really... the ergos and performance numbers are very much the same. The trellis frame looks cool, and new traction control system is awesome. 2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950: Bologna's...

    Daily commuter for 10 years

    1. Just make sure all the rubber boots on the electrical connectors are intact. I had one split open and let water in. 2. Honda White Graphite. Seriously the best stuff I've ever used. 3. There are a few special tools for working on the engine, but for regular maintenance you don't need...

    Modifying the tail light

So if I understand this correctly, you're trying to just make the tail light brighter? So you're going to glue them to the board in front of the factory LEDs and then how will you power them? Interesting project. I have a small amount of LED experience having made Hyper lights and associated...

Ducati Hypermotard 821 clutch fix - the definitive guide

Great to hear. Agreed there are a few weird things about the upgrade but people seem to have figured it out well enough and we have a lot more happy riders out there now :D I upgraded mine just in time to sell it. Such a shame, but those were a great 3-4 rides!

    petrol (gas) tank

Yep^ Also remove the front mounting supports so the tank can come straight out the top. I personally never had to remove the bars.

Has anyone managed to removed this?

That looks like plastic rivets. They will break when you take it apart.

Removing the top section of the steering head

They are just rubber so... a visual inspection will tell you if they're bad or not. They should move and flex a little. The Hyperstrada bars are also mounted on spacers so there is lots of leverage on them. On dirtbikes they are cone-shaped and just press out. I think these might be pressed in?

Removing the top section of the steering head

you can just unbolt the handlebars, loosen the pinch bolts, and it will slide right off the top. That's kinda the nice thing about the weird slotted bearing preload nut thing Ducati uses. How much play are we talking? If you wiggle the bars are they clunking or just squishy?

    blowing 30A fuses

Locking the steering head pushes it all the way to one side. What if you don't lock it, but keep it turned all the way left?

    blowing 30A fuses

Could be one of those wires in the wiring harness shorting out or getting pinched.

    Rear wheel removing

After having my front sprocket nut unscrew itself even unfolding the lock washer after I used moly lube, I'd be very wary of using it. Granted, I was using 60% moly paste. Most moly grease is 3% moly... I usually used plain bearing grease and tightened to 176Nm

    Random Engine Stalling - 2013 Hyperstrada 821

It was my only problem with it. It would happen 3-4 times a day. I removed it and it never happened again.

Anyone know where to get these parts?

Fill in the marks with bondo or similar plastic filling compound. Sand, and have it painted :) I believe a member here also did a vinyl wrap on his and made it look really good. member zibbitu2 I believe.

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

Interesting. It is very rare for cars to have wideband O2's and I'm not sure of any motorcycles that do. There is just no reason for it since it's an emissions device and narrowbands cost a fraction of the amount. I do like that new one you got though - the stock Hyper sensor seemed dinky to me.
