How to fit footrest damper into bracket that holds the foot pegs

Thinking about it - I wouldn't freeze the damper because of the rubber. Maybe boil the bracket to get it 100C and then try to git the bushing.

How to fit footrest damper into bracket that holds the foot pegs

Does it go in like a bearing - a little grease, maybe freeze the damper first? Is it directional-you mention slot shape - and needs to be put in in a specific orientation? Can you press it in far enough (with a vice?) that the bolt can complete the job?

    2013 strada Clutch mishap?

Idon't have the answer, but I know that this was discussed somewhere on the forum. Hopefully that person checks in. Maybe check the clutch upgrade thread.

    Removing gas tank

Once you figure it all out - and again, the key for me was removing the rubber pucks up front - it is a matter of 20 minutes next time. As with everything else mechanical, it's a matter of being systematic and patient... and having a small ziptie for the cable that attaches to the plastic...

    Removing gas tank

Took me three tries before I said screw it. LOL

    Removing gas tank

The hoses at the bottom are quick release. Under the plastic housing near the top of the shock. Also remove rubber things that the front sides of the tank hook on to. Wedge past the seat lock. Never had to remove handlebars myself.

Help me find the source of a rattle...

Ducati is now on par with the Euro bikes - a massive improvement as they have all stepped up their game. Maybe not up to the Asian makers, but good. Very happy with my strada, and Ducati has been good with goodwill repairs where there is a known issue. Anyhow - onwards and forwards... And I...

Help me find the source of a rattle...

LOL - because Ducati is famous for its heritage of reliability and build quality.

    New Front Fork Cartridge Options

I put in new front bearings - old ones shot (30,000+ miles), new tire, carefully balanced, and just re seated my front axle. Everything has settled down from being constantly harsh - so I'll just go with stock. Mupo is no help, Austin asked for info but has gone silent. The duc guy in Boston...

    Hyperstrada Review

Nice review =thanks. every winter I dream of new bikes (790 duke is a beauty) but after my first few spring rides, I'm always a happy man. There's always more to discover with this machine, and I tour like N4teTheGreat - which is a great way to tour. Last year was a slow riding year - a fork...

    Draining fuel

I'd like to be of more help but I can only offer helpful suggestions - something everyone loves. I'd check the spark. If no spark then something up the line is affecting both plugs. The manual that comes with the bike has an electrical chart - I'd follow the circuits to a point where they...

    Draining fuel

Spark plug wet and fouled - that seems the place to start. Wet with fuel? Wet with oil? Just guessing her - if wet with fuel then the injectors are injecting, but the plug isn't sparking. Can you test this? All contacts in the circuit cleaned? Would seem strange for 2 coils to go at...

    New Front Fork Cartridge Options

Thanks for the info.. Not sure what I'm going to do. Spoke with a duc guy last week near me, and he seemed to know all about the quirks of the strada suspension and has a good rep.. Worked on a Honda of mine in the past. Weirdly, with the dollar so strong, I can get a delivered mupo kit...

    New Front Fork Cartridge Options

Roger was very helpful, but without sending the forks in there's no go at this point. I don't think the single kit option is in the books for the Strada. Saw one on a motard, but maybe they have a different set up. I have also been looking at traxxion dynamics which looks good and...

"Error" and all dash lights flashing, Fan Turns on, No Start...

Keep us posted - the dash is usually a symptom - not the problem. My dash did the dance, but fortunately it was just a depleted battery. On the bright side - Ducati is pretty good with out of warranty repairs as long as all the "recalls" were done. Hope it all works out.

    Bent brake pedal

I put woodcraft folding tips on both my pedals this winter. I removed the rubber, from the tips used the pressed section near the lever as a guide and sawed off the tip. I then drilled an appropriate sized hole in the remaining part of the tip that goes through the lever and bolted on the...

    brake light/mode sensor

This also may be helpful: https://youtu.be/7q2tGCVBUwM I probably have to do this shortly the road - did my front bearings this winter as they were shot. Keep us posted. The manual has a number of inconsistencies - can be frustrating.

    2013 Hyper rear hub orientation

Don't have speific answers, but maybe this will help. There's also a video based on this thread: https://www.ducati.ms/forums/80-hall-wisdom/229785-replacing-bearings-sssa-eccentric-hub.html
