Want To Buy Stock 821 or 939 SP shock spring

Sounds like a deal. I have to confirm 100% this is the right spring rate on Monday or Tuesday, then I will send over a payment. PM me your paypal info please :) This is for another bike that happens to fit this spring. Right now I've got a 90 spring on there and it needs too much preload to...

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

Well that could be it... lol. Bike thinks it's warmer than it is, meaning the air is less dense, so it spits in less fuel, and it runs lean. You have nothing to lose by playing with the RB mapping. Try adding 5-10% across the board and see if it helps. It won't be perfect but will tell you if...

    Clutch switch rev limit

Yea I don't think that's normal. Hard to say what it is without riding it and feeling it.

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

Wow, well that definitely doesn't sound right. If you ride it hard, does it run fine? No error lights? If it runs well when riding hard, it's probably not a fuel delivery issue, otherwise that would be starving it when it needs the most fuel. Try setting your fuel map to 0 across the board so...

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

I don't recall messing with the pump correction at all. The calibrate throttle routine is intended to be run on a dyno so the throttle plates can open all the way. You can simply enter the voltage values without doing the calibration. The more critical number is the lower limit because that...

Ducati Hypermotard 821 clutch fix - the definitive guide

I don't have any photos but I recall using a bolt and a nut wedged into some spot in order to pop it off. There are a few leverage points on the cover. A thin piece of metal like a feeler gauge can also be inserted and dragged around to slice the sealant.

    The Hyper Curse

He tried disconnecting the battery. The light went off but came back on after about 5 minutes of riding he says. He says he just filled up with gas, stalled the engine, and that's when it happened - who really knows? I suggested unplugging and replugging several connectors, namely the TPS and O2...

939 (2016) Headlight dipped beam failure

Thank you. Any recommendations on bulbs? I like the Philips 130% xtreme vision. Adds a tiny bit of brightness, isn't obnoxiously blue.

That's funny. I would freak out for a moment too... glad to hear you're on your way and the trip is going smoothly.

    The Hyper Curse

The manual comes in handy! Looks like it could be a number of things. Thankfully most of them look to be pretty simple. Of these, only a few would allow the bike to operate normally still (redundant TPS sensor, O2 sensor, secondary air sensor).

    Steering Damper?

Give it a shot, I played with fork height and it does make a difference. Eventually I settled on stock as a good balance of stability and flickability. The only bike I've ridden with a damper is my XR and it's incredibly stable, but also very strange to muscle around a parking lot where lots of...

Mushy front brake and no ABS after 3k miles

Good call on the ziptie. I have tried it before and it does work. A bungee or other clamp also works as long as its pulling pretty tightly.

Mushy front brake and no ABS after 3k miles

What setting are you testing the abs at, and at what speed? It's normal for a tire to very briefly lock up even with abs but it should release to maintain grip. It also doesn't work as well at lower speed (under 8-10mph) because the sensors have less resolution to work with. It will be more...

    The Hyper Curse

That would be nice. The thing that confuses me is that the rapid bike is supposed to emulate the o2's. I'm wondering if it's related to that part. I haven't heard of a single one of those breaking but I guess it's not beyond possibility.

    The Hyper Curse

So he says it runs fine. It will only get the error light after about 5 minutes of riding but it doesn't affect anything. Makes me think it's an emissions related fault code (TPS, O2 sensor, PAIR valve) and not a functional one. I think it might be worth unplugging and re-plugging some...
