New 2014 Hyperstrada & Question on Low Fuel Light

I like monitoring gages. Picked it up from flying airplanes. I'm not trying to front on your style. I simply didn't know if you knew there are two. If you did travel long distance especially to the Texas desert you'd be watching that gage I'm sure of it.

New 2014 Hyperstrada & Question on Low Fuel Light

There's two trip meters, you know, and holding down a button sets it to zero.

    comfort?

How comfortable, like in what way? The hyper is in the same class as sport bikes, I mean right? Has anyone tried adjustable rearsets? There's at least one type that will move both foot levers and pegs one inch forward. I'd like to know if anyone's tried that and if one inch forward is worth...

New 2014 Hyperstrada & Question on Low Fuel Light

I get that it might not be linear and that you're calculating an average and that you may have filled the tank a bit more on one of the fill ups. My question is how accurate is the low fuel indicator? If it's accurate then an accurate fuel gage wouldn't be a far leap. They basically do the...

    picking up mine tuesday

Will it stop raining here? I think California needs it more than us! I'm in St. Charles and agree the roads to Bixby. Also southern Missouri just north of Arkansas and including northern Arkansas. Have you riden there?

    Should I buy a New 2013 Hyperstrada

I'd ask the dealer the differences 2013 to 2015. I bought arctic white in '13 . Had it sprayed flat black. I have over 11000 miles, rode it to big bend TX last summer 104F no problems except bought a new rear tire in Dallas to prevent a blowout. Are scorpion trails on 2015 model? They wear...

New 2014 Hyperstrada & Question on Low Fuel Light

That information tells us there was a 15 mile difference when the low fuel light appeared while you were getting the same mpg. That's partially why no fuel gage, because it wouldn't be accurate. Though I was reading about floatless fuel gages that use pressure. If the technology exists, why...

    fuel storage

I use altridrer's tail rack and Oxford aqua50 dry bag. Similar to yours. One thing is rotopax is mounted on the side through the middle so you'd have to remove everything on top of it and I don't want to do that. However, when I think it's emergency fuel and not something I plan on using every...

    Limp home recall

Is your dealer primarily ducati only? There's another ducati dealer nearby who sells all kinds and I like that place. I bought my bike unfortunately at "the ducati shop" who sells some triumphs. So much attitude place gives me a headache. For recalls I got to go where I bought it. For...

    Limp home recall

I had 10000 miles, went to big bend from St. Louis through Arkansas. Got back and experienced WTF? mode. So I'll go in for the fix. I just hate the dealer where I bought the bike and not looking forward to their attitude. They act like they're too busy for normal business ops. and their...

    Limp home recall

You have four ducatis and date supermodels? That's righteous.

    fuel storage

I rationalized the msr 30 oz can with plastic tube case over the rotopax. It seemed like too much luggage. I put the tube under a bungee net on top of a dry sac. It's only .24 gal so maybe 15 miles worth of fuel should be enough for road touring. Now on second thought the rotopax might be...

    comfort?

I apply racing techniques from twist of wrist and total control. Try squeezing your legs together to keep yourself up, take the weight off your arms and back. I'm still considering adjustable rearsets though the furthest forward adjustment I've seen on rearsets is an inch and that might be enough.

    Limp home recall

YOU have a princess. I have a black bitch and I have to hone out her cylinders every now and then, if you know what I mean. I treat her right, she treats me right. Okay, I'm getting excited. My problem with the bike is it's been raining here everyday for like the past 3 months! Sucks! :(

New 2014 Hyperstrada & Question on Low Fuel Light

I'd like to hear other people's experience and solutions to not having a fuel gage on their hyper. My experience, After you see the fuel light, you'll probably have at least another 30-50 miles of fuel although you will not know for sure. Example, From St. Louis to Minneapolis I ran out of...

    Bluetooth Helmet Audio

For A, B, and C (not sure about D), I use Motorola Buds with T200 Comply foam tips. I recently purchased LG Tone Bluetooth headset. It has better music quality, can sync to more than one device. The T200 comply foam tips will fit these also. The neck part is better on the Buds as it's...
