    Kneading clutch engine stall

Hi Nate, was out today with the sole intent of doing some slow parking lot maneuvers but it started raining. Wtf, I’m in CA! None the less, I did try 1st gear decel, pulled the clutch, no stalls. Just that ca-plunk idle. Gotta get into this a bit further. Wanna be friends with this bike!

    Kneading clutch engine stall

I’ve removed the carbon canister which seemed to make it much more stable starting out from a dead stop. After some riding with bike completely warmed up, it becomes erratic when slowing to a stop and almost stalls but I give it some blips to raise the revs. That certainly is not a solution and...

Pannier lock/ unlock/key removal. Another plea for help!

Here’s one that worked. A post from several years ago suggested disassembling the pannier locks, greasing them down, reassemble. Me thinking no wey, but gave it a shot using Chain Wax. Guess what? It works! Now the bags snap in with a sharp whack, slide off when key is turned to release. Fun...

Pannier lock/ unlock/key removal. Another plea for help!

I think the lock lube is the next step. Currently the bags come off so easily, I can figuratively see them in my rear view mirrors bouncing down the freeway!

    There’s something I haven’t tried. Big thanks!

Pannier lock/ unlock/key removal. Another plea for help!

Thanks for the tip. I can mount and remove the bags somewhat easily. Problem here is actually locking the bags once the key is turned 90• and then removing the key in that position. Even with the key turned in the lock position the bags can be pulled off easily. I’m the 2nd owner so who knows...

Pannier lock/ unlock/key removal. Another plea for help!

Tried mounting the Ducati panniers on my ‘16 939. Fitting onto the mounting brackets was achieved without much drama (as I’ve seen in several threads) but turning the key in the locked position not only made it impossible for key removal but did not prevent me from removing the pannier! I’m...

    Good news/Bad news

For all who provided info, my canister removal is done! My imagination, or is the bike more predictable from a dead start? Seems a little less hyper (lol!) at steady throttle as well. Need some long rides to further evaluate.

    Canister Removal DIY

First, thanks again for the response. Yup, that’s what bit me! This device was coupled to the vertical cylinder hose then routed to a bracket above the T junction. Im not sure how this thing functions except that it’s in the canister circuit. The surprise electrical connector is my concern...

    Canister Removal DIY

Merrily on my way to dump the carbon canister. All hoses out except right side front behind radiator. There’s an electrical connection to a cylindrical (valve?) piece with hose fittings on both ends. One from rear cylinder port and one from the canister side, which I have already removed. What...

Please God, not that ! Happened on my KTM just out of warranty! Wrote a stern letter to KTM US. They agreed to cover it. Galfer rotors and new pads!

    Good news/Bad news

Again, members here rock! Thanks for some more worthwhile info. At least there’s a logical progression of fixes that lay ahead. My main disappointment is that one of my best buds 821 was glitch free. Just change the oil and filter, he said!
