They mentioned they found a piece of metal, so mine broke. Is this piece compatible with any of the V2 bikes? Wonder if Ducati used a lower quality part thinking it would handle the lower torque engine.
This bike is so much fun. I'm going through withdrawal.
My brother always says not to buy first year, but..... I had to.
Can't wait to see what they replace the Panigale V2 with.
I talked to the dealer Friday. They said they were in contact with Ducati NA. Said it might be the shift fork or drum. They've had it 2 weeks and said they should know something soon. Sounds like they have to split the cases regardless.
I was curious if more bikes would have this issue...
Sounds like they would be open to lawsuit. We will see. I was enjoying being back with Ducati, but a transmission failure with less than 400 and not covered under warranty will put me back on the KTM RC8.
I installed my custom Shift Tech slip on titanium cans. They look great. Took the bike to the track. It sounds better. Still waiting for the titanium header pipe.
This is my bike.

Was out mid session at the track and it won't down shift out of 4th into 3rd or lower. Only shifts through 4, 5, 6.
Can't drop it at the dealer for a couple weeks. Any ideas?
The 698 is about 50 pounds heavier, but handles like a lighter bike.
The 698 engine is super smooth for a single. Similar to the 550 twin, but the 698 definitely pulls harder.
I enjoyed my SXV's, but really dig the 698 on a short road course.
I went back and checked and I ran a 180 rear on my Aprilia SXV's, both the 450 and the 550. Seems like a 180 would make sense on the 698.
Just need to fins a 5.5" rear wheel that fits and try it.
