I also think the trans shifts well, problems finding neutral when cold notwithstanding, I've come to love the piezo actuated quickshifters (Starlane, HealTech, etc.). They are bolt on (some bikes I had to do some splicing on but there's a plug in one for our bikes, think I have in the garage)...

If someone wants better intake flow, this is the ticket...I'd buy it but I have one that took me better part of 2 years to get...

Get a quickshifter, you'll never look back, put them on all my bikes now...

This sounds familar...also recommend the Factory Pro shift upgrade, you have a better clutch, I also find my shift lever clinch bolt keeps coming loose and when it does my quickshifter upshifts in 2nd or 3rd can miss, gonna have to fix that permanently....as for settings, I like Sport and...

Best all around bike I ever owned have been my R1100S bikes, especially the R1150S bike here that I built...As sport tourers went, it proved just great, do the same thing on my Duc now, distance on the Duc isn't as easy for sure...

It's true these bikes have some issues but no deal breakers yet, still my favorite to ride...every time I think I might sell it, I end up riding it and then I can't...
