2013 Hyperstrada throttle issue

My throttle has been "sticking" & the bike maintains speed, which has been quite scary at times. I had to continuously remind my dealer of the issue b/c they were unable to replicate the problem. Eventually they just submitted a request to replace & were very vague in their description. I just got a call from them & they will be replacing my throttle!

Figured I would keep those up to date just in case anyone else is having similar issues.

I guess that all this electronic stuff is leaving somehow an unknown area of expertise. I had a issue with the kick stand sensor this week-end but at first I thought the issue was related with the throtle.

The Thai assemble version had a recalled on the throttle cable issue where there is a weak point on the rubber insulation joint. Constant turning of the handlebar will stress out the rubber insulation join. I have 2 friends here having the same issue and the bike couldn't start. All under warranty and replaced and noticed the rubber insulation contact point has been strengthen.

Could we get more info or even a pic of that insulation contact point? I'd like to check mine...

Mine's in the shop now for this issue. They told me they can't duplicate it... Will keep you guys posted. I've lost a lot of confidence in this bike!

The contact point is inside the throttle unit.

YES! This happened to me the first time last week and it was terrifying trying to slow down and go around a gravely turn. Definitely taking my bike to the dealer this weekend. Annoying.

What is scary is that it doesn't even feel like the grip is turned. The bike continues to move forward even at what seems to be 0% throttle position.

New assembly

I had to get entire grip assembly replaced after a few trips where they just re-loaded software thinking patches would help.

Mine's been at the dealer since last week. I call everyday (because it's too much for them to update me I guess) I told them about the issues with the throttle and they gave me the "we have to submit a request to Ducati" run around.
