Is it just me or do other people hunt the accessories shops and web sites for bits that you might just be able to use?
For example my Hyper has the following extras fitted:
Front axle sliders for a GSXR600
Frame crash bobbins for a ZX10
Generic rear axle bobbins that I machined down and modified
Generic aluminium bolt kits
Generic after market mirrors
12v/5v charger on the handle bars
GPS
Under seat USB charger
Home made aluminium radiator guard
Generic folding levers, aluminium brake fluid container
Generic aluminium rear brake fluid container

On top of that lot I have the Ducati top box and tank bag too!!

I think I may have a problem:D
Would anyone care to join me at the meetings:D:D

Wow, I thought I was the only owner on this forum who runs the Ducati tank bag...couldn't live without it.

They're called "farkles" here...both as a noun and a verb. I could add to the list below the tank bag, Pazzo levers, front cylinder and radiator guards, LED rear signals, and my home-made rear bag mount, bar end sliders, and rear "Ductail." Plus I've removed the stickers and side reflectors F&R. I did the first oil and filter change at 5000 miles, used Motul 300 and a K&N.

I could also list all the bikes I own and have owned, but I posted a thread on that - in the 'Motorcycle Talk' forum. Nearly every one ended up farkled to some extent.

Good luck with your mail service.. don't you have UPS down there? A bit of competition seems to help.

We have various private courier service providers.

The postal system is like most other government run departments here, gradually falling apart, the rot started 20 years ago, and is getting worse by the year, I don't want to say anymore, but I am sure you can figure out why this is happening. We only have to look a 1000 kilometres North for an example of where the country is headed:mad:

but I digress...

Our postal service was privatized way back in 1971. It runs a big deficit every year, and has to be subsidized by our government. But at least it is not subject to labor troubles. It also delivers to places where the other carriers will not. Our problem is that basic postage (a card or letter) costs a fraction of what folks pay in other countries, and bulk materials (aka "junk mail") costs even less. Not a good business model.

I've read that when our nation was founded, the government was responsible for three things: National defense, a common currency, and the post office. Very few of us can even imagine how slowly news and information traveled back then. I'll leave the verdict on the other two to the rest of the forum.

If I were in your neighborhood, I'd be carrying a temperature gun around at all times...stay safe.
