What does it sound like?
Does the Akra slip-on work with the standard side bag fitted?
Better and better as time goes by. It was too quiet for my liking when initially installed, but now it's had a chance for a little carbon to build up and the packing to settle it sounds f*ckin amazing!
Only got it as there was no way I was gonna shell out for the Termi, but at less than half the price this sounds incredible. I had to switch off my music on the way to work tonight just to listen to the soundtrack. And then blip the throttle a few times once I got my earplugs out.
As you can tell, I'm a fan. Highly recommended. It looks lovely in the flesh too IMO - the pics don't do it justice.
I haven't tried (the side bags are up in the loft - I'll never use them as I filter too much) but from what I can see, it wouldn't be an issue.
Where did you get it installed and do you mind me asking what you paid?
Ha! I would never pay anyone to do such a simple install. Seriously man, it's two bolts - you can do the entire install in about 15 minutes. I'd be happy to write up the process if it would avoid you shelling out money for it.
I bought mine from Italy via eBay - saved over £100 vs UK prices. It took a couple of weeks to come but the saving is worth it. Bear in mind you have to buy the can & link pipe separately; the can came in at about £430 & link pipe (provided you don't want the option with a CAT) about £110.
to be honest this is one of the best stock sounding bikes I have ever heard. Its one of those few cases where i have no interest in changing the sound.
Removed my SC project CRT and Akra on its way.
Can't wait to get it on the bike. Wished I'd have taken advice and started off with the Akra initially. But hey, you live and learn.
Anyone interested in buying my SC project please drop me a PM
Why do you say that you should have gone with the Akra instead of SC?
Still wondering if the Strada's panniers fit with the Akra on...
