i'd get it if i don't have to sell my kidney for it.
will it work with the bags?
removable baffles?

I've got it and love it. I had an SC CR-T before and the Akra sounds much, much better. Yes, removable baffles.

What does it sound like?

Better and better as time goes by. It was too quiet for my liking when initially installed, but now it's had a chance for a little carbon to build up and the packing to settle it sounds f*ckin amazing!

Only got it as there was no way I was gonna shell out for the Termi, but at less than half the price this sounds incredible. I had to switch off my music on the way to work tonight just to listen to the soundtrack. And then blip the throttle a few times once I got my earplugs out.

As you can tell, I'm a fan. Highly recommended. It looks lovely in the flesh too IMO - the pics don't do it justice.

Does the Akra slip-on work with the standard side bag fitted?

I haven't tried (the side bags are up in the loft - I'll never use them as I filter too much) but from what I can see, it wouldn't be an issue.

Where did you get it installed and do you mind me asking what you paid?

Ha! I would never pay anyone to do such a simple install. Seriously man, it's two bolts - you can do the entire install in about 15 minutes. I'd be happy to write up the process if it would avoid you shelling out money for it.

I bought mine from Italy via eBay - saved over £100 vs UK prices. It took a couple of weeks to come but the saving is worth it. Bear in mind you have to buy the can & link pipe separately; the can came in at about £430 & link pipe (provided you don't want the option with a CAT) about £110.

do you mind give the link for the exhaust? looking forward to get one! and since its just a slip-on, you dont need to tune it or remap the ecu right?

to be honest this is one of the best stock sounding bikes I have ever heard. Its one of those few cases where i have no interest in changing the sound. The daytona 675r on the other hand has the arrow pipe and it went form sweet to DROOL!!!!!!. but again hyperstrada already at DROOL level lol

Removed my SC project CRT and Akra on its way.
Can't wait to get it on the bike. Wished I'd have taken advice and started off with the Akra initially. But hey, you live and learn.
Anyone interested in buying my SC project please drop me a PM

Precisely. I might want to change the exhaust in the future as a part of a complete fueling solution, but the sound itself is one of the most hairy-chested of any production motorcycle on sale today. (I know it's mostly induction in higher rpm, but anyway"¦)

Why do you say that you should have gone with the Akra instead of SC?

Still wondering if the Strada's panniers fit with the Akra on...

The Akra is a much more refined sound I would say. The SC-CRT is of course a no holds barred open pipe, so is very harsh and of course without the choice of installing a baffle it is LOUD, LOUD , LOUD.

I'm loving the Akra so much more. Fitting panniers is not a problem.

Hello guys, I really want to buy one. However, I want to be sure that the side bag can be mounted with this stock since I an using it every day. Can you please confirm it? If you can take picture it will be great! Thanks !
