Question, I've got a factory low model and was wondering if I could get the standard height Andreani kit to raise my bike a bit or are the factory low forks physically different to the standard height models?

Different. Can't take low and make it longer without complete fork replacement.

Hey guys,
I am sure most of you are aware of the price but for those who are not, the suspension is only $465. I think this is due to the strength of the US dollar.
I am going to take the dive and do it before donald trump becomes president and then our dollar will drop (j/k) :p

Despite the silly notion about the presidential election, the eBay price for Andreani fork kits from Europe have been good, with Brexit making the US Dollar price even better.

What I learned is that Ducati has used different fork internals, even within same model year. That's why Mupo needed photos of which fork internals my 2013 had before sending their cartridge replacements.

Good luck with your purchase.

price has neither to do with Donald nor with Brits - Italy has Euro, and it seems Andreani dropped the Euro-price, so also price in USD dropped.
About 1 year ago I payed a little below 500 Euros at the italian ebay omnia-racing site, now its only € 410,--.

buy it - it's worth every Euro (or Dollar ;) )

The Eruo did crater after the approval of the Brexit, though has recovered for the most part since.

That said, every Ducati with the minimum suspension benefits from improvements. No different than any other vehicle.

The twin cartridge replacements separate compression from rebound dampening and allow for a great deal of adjustment.

The installation of the cartridge into the left fork requires more effort than just dropping it in, so expect that before making the purchase.

At the same time you will now find that attention to the rear shock will benefit the control of the bike.

Andriani now has an official importer in the US. Paying the retail price includes their installing the cartridges and adjusting them for your personal needs.

I chose to pay a bit more for Mupo cartridges for a number of reasons.

No matter which double cartridge system you select, there will be a vast improvement. Over on much more active Scrambler forums you will see plenty of confirmation of this.

I really wonder how these compare to the SP internals. I know the SP feels better than the base crap, but it's not that good compared to a traditional closed cartridge system that I've used. It would be interesting to ride them back-to-back.

Well, I'll be in the redwoods and Lost Coast in the spring. The new Mupos are now installed front and back.

I'm sure it could be better, but the stock strada suspension seems fine to me and I'm riding pretty hard on broken up roads in all kinds of weather.

I think brexit -which indeed was driven by the same racist xenophobes that rally around drumpf - has dropped the euro. I picked up some sidi stuff from Germany at about 1/2 the US price.

The SP forks are quite a bit longer than the Strada units. And I've been told by a racer friend (whose opinions have been correct in the past) that the SP Marzocchis are not all that great. If I had to do mine over, I'd put Andreanis in there like the ones in our 390 Duke. Another couple of hun, installed, and fully adjustable.

Fork cartridge kit DIY?

For anyone here who has installed the Andreani Misano Cartridge kit on a Hyperstrada 821.....
Suspension specialists don't exist in India and I would have to attempt this on my own ( with help from my brother ) . I have a lot of experience on full bike rebuilds, mods and engine overhauls (Enfield singles, Honda CB500 , KTM 390 Duke ) and have most of the tools needed . Never did a full suspension replacement on this sort of system.
Are any special tools needed for the disassembly and reassembly ? How great are the chances of messing it up?
The local Ducati Service shop won't touch after market mods at all.
The bike is a dream to ride on the Roads in the Himalayas but the front suspension does bottom easily on the mostly unpaved roads here. I am planning a ride that will take me over passes up to 18000 Feet high and will need all the adjustment I can have on the forks.

There are threads for this installation online. I recall one with a lot of photos over at Ducati.ms

Fundamentally, the left leg requires additional work to accommodate the left cartridge.

Who are the people that install the cartridge when you buy it from them?
