Well, I visited Ducati dealers #2 and #3 today to find out what I could about the upcoming Hyperstrada. Understandably perhaps, neither knew much more than we all have gleaned from various websites, but both confirmed that e.t.a into dealerships here in Oz is expected in March/ April. On pricing, the story was quite different "“ #2 confirmed the price I'd been told by the first dealer I spoke to last week, expected to be in the high $AUD19Ks, but #3 said it was to be around $AUD18K "“ "but don't hold me to it". I won't "“ but hope he's correct! This dealer was able to give me a catalogue, but again it tells nothing we haven't seen on-line.
While there I crawled all over the Ducati bikes on the showroom floors and marvelled at the detail, finish, and workmanship, and how petite the models all seemed to be, except maybe for the Multistrada 1200.
At #3, a $32K Panigale would be nice (if I was 50 years younger!), while a $40K MV Agusta would be even nicer!
So now it's matter of being patient, keeping in touch with the dealers, and awaiting that test ride"¦ L of S
