Hi folks,

my name is Martin and I'm living in southern Germany (approx. a 2h-Ride to the alps)
About two months ago, I've ordered a red 2014 Hyperstrada, which should be delivered in the first week of march (hopefully the end of the cold months).

My previous bike has been a 1200cc Kawasaki Sportstourer, which i used mostly for day-long rides (500 to 600km) and each year for a longer tour in the alps (7-8 days, 3000km).

I'm interested in the Hyperstrada since its presentation in november 2012, as it seems to suit my wishes in a bike best. The testride in July finally convinced me to change.

I think i'll come up with some questions about additional equipment and some technical changes in this forum as I'm searching for some improvements.

Greetings
Martin

Gruess Gott, Martin! Enjoy your Hyper. Won't be quite the Autobahn monster that your Kawi was, but much better in the Alps.

Thanks guys,

We Build some nice Cars here for going fast on the Autobahn. The bike is for the twisty roads. :D

I don't really know if there are some changes in the 2014 model - I just wanted to be safe that I get a brandnew one. I'll have a closer Look at it, when it's in my garage.

@nicewheathermanni: which stationery noise (Standgeräusch) is stated in the papers?

Finally, the period of waiting is over as I took over my Hyperstrada today!
After 170km on twisty roads around my hometown, I can't get the grin out of my face. Especially as the weather is unbelievable good in Germany at the moment (17 Celsius, cloudless sky)

I had the privilege of driving in the Alps near Deisenhofen in 1989. Had a cousin living there. Every time I pulled over and waved a bike by (which seemed to surprise them!) I felt like waving the keys to the rental car out of the window to arrange a swap.

Sometime you should come here and sample our roads...we do have some good ones. And the weather is great.
