Back in the saddle...

Hi all,
After a too many year hiatus from street riding, I decided to start looking around this year again. Parenting duties fulfilled, too early to retire, needed some extra exhilaration in my life. Boy did I find it this week!
Today I picked up a 2014 'strada with only 1830 miles on it. Looks absolutely brand new. Got to test ride it for about 30 minutes today before taking from dealer, but now waiting for bucket to come in this week.
Holy crap! I'm in love. The pull, the handling, the brakes, the marvelous sound....and that beautiful color....
I hereby promise to thoroughly search posts for answers to any questions I have, spell check to the best of my ability, and keep my opinions to a respectable and friendly level.

I guess that they are both beautiful colors, but I'm a sucker for red on any vehicle. Cars, boats, bikes..

All good to know, my friends. I pick up the helmet this afternoon and have the weekend to put in seat time. I'll be riding the northwest hills of Connecticut. Nice riding right out of my garage.
Super excited to get to know her. And I already blow kisses as I walk by after work...honast.

Ok, 3 hr ride this afternoon. Tight twisties, open road, all in between. Some wet roads left over.
This bike is wonderful. Took me about 45 minutes until it was just natural to ride. Bike just feels happy. Whatever I wanted, I got. Great power curve and stopping power. Bends over obligingly enough and without any resistance.
I guess you all know this stuff, but this is my first impression on my 'strada.
