Brights staying on

Hello, i have had my Hyperstrada (red) for a month now and noticed that randomly the brights will come on and stay on. It happens during the day and night and the only way to fix it is turn off the key and restart. I have my 600 mile service in a couple weeks and am going to address it then but wondered if anyone else had the same issue. Also if i installed my Tail Tidy if that would void my warranty since you have to cut 2 wires for the license plate light. I don't want to give them any reason to not fix the issue...

Thanks for the help and all other info i have read on these forums.

Sucks, but not nearly as annoying as the trailer-towing Goldwing with the flashing brights...aww, I'm just hatin'. I see myself on the biggest, comfiest cruiser when I turn 60.

As for the tail mod, I honestly get the feeling bike dealers are far removed from car dealers. I would just ask before cutting but I bet they'll say it will only affect warranty work related to the cutting. A standard dealer would try and make the argument that cutting the leads to your tail light resulted in warped front rotors.

On second thought, I would get the brights fixed prior to touching anything electrical.

That "was" happening to me... Until I realized is was accidentally bumping the high beam switch to "on". The whole switch actually slides to turn on/off I'd not realized this, pulling the high beam lever only "flashes " the high beam. Details in the owners manual.
It's a "different" switch system than any other bikes I've owned.

Hmmm thanks for the input. I also noticed my right front blinker doesn't work unless i tap the switch assembly so i think something else is going on... I thought i was pushing the lever too but one time i started the bike walked inside then came out to the high beams on. O'well see shat happens...

Thanks again!

Thanks Kdub!

I hit that silly switch all the time, especially in my new RS Taichi gloves. Thinking of 'bobbing' it!
