Chain adjuster tool

Did your bike come with a chain adjuster tool when it was new? It appears to need a large pin spanner to tighten the chain which was not included in my kit when I took delivery.

Multi comes with one but not the Hyper.
For what it is worth, the Multi one is made of cheese.
Plenty of sellers of reasonably priced alternatives though.

I love it - "Made of cheese":D:D
I bought one from my Duc dealer today, U$35-00 without the handle:mad:

I'm thinking about making one for this bike that also does the oil filter and some other special bits. Any interest?

do you ship to the philippines?

if not, i can probably arrange something to have it shipped to my sister in martinez or my brother in vegas, wherever is more convenient :D

Here it is. A couple small issues, but I already used it to change my oil and adjust my chain and it worked! The chain adjustment was way easier than I expected. The hub in the swingarm turns very easily so the tool doesn't need to be very big.

Wow that is neat, well done. Production run time?
Would you be able to mail to South Africa?

I need to make a couple small changes. For example, there is not enough clearance between the back side of the oil filter and the engine case to hold the wrench straight. It still works, but it needs to be thinner to be perfect. This might require making it out of steel for strength reasons.

I've never mailed anything outside of the US. I don't see why not, but it probably costs more.

I guess you just have used ali for the prototype, is not susceptible to bending if the oil filteris tight?
Perhaps leave the meat in it and don't cut the triangular hole in body of the tool?

It actually seemed to work fine. During unscrewing, the oil filter was bending because it was on very tight and the oil filter is very thin. During installation it was perfect.

The best tool is probably one of those round ones that you use with a ratchet. But I wanted 2 tools in one if I was already making the chain tool... :D
