Clutch rattles

My 2013 Hyperstrada clutch has an audible rattle until engaged. How noisy is the clutch supposed to be?

I have not been happy with the clutch on this bike so far. It feels like it needs adjustment and I can't seem find a smooth release point it's all in at once.

Any suggestions?

The bike has 10,500 miles, the first 10,000 attributed to the first owner. I still have a couple months of warranty so I want to make sure it's sorted out before it's too late.

It's no dry clutch, that's for sure. Not sure about the noise though. Mine seems to be pretty grabby, but I got used to it after a few hundred miles. Have you tried adjusting the cable down by the frame?

I've got about the same number of miles and had a pretty dramatic adjustment need recently. Had to mess with the frame adjuster to get it right.

Personally, I go pretty far from factory setting. I like the grab point closer to initially lever bite and it suits me far better.

No issues with noise, but it's a very grabby clutch. Switching between bikes throws me off and the Hyperstrada always gets me the first time I engage the clutch after riding my Fireblade!

I find it's pretty easy to get used to though. Have you tried the frame adjuster OP? Mine definitely needed it after similar mileage.

I will take a look at the frame adjustment opportunity. I don't have a frame of reference as far as the noise level so I probably need to go test drive a new one. Thank you for the responses.
