Based on previous experience I know that the bike limits revs to 8500k or so if it thinks the clutch lever is pulled in. At first glance this makes sense, but, as I found during my road trip, this results in annoying behavior if running the bike to redline and I'm not sure if it's expected behavior or if something is wrong.
Basically I found while doing a top speed attempt that shifting above 8500 would cause the bike to intervene and cut the revs for a moment after I shifted causing the bike to lurch a bit. This was not pleasant at 100 suffice to say. Known issue, do I need to be quicker with my shifts (I think I'm pretty smooth) or should the bike know it's moving and not limit the revs in this case?
