Looking for a good deal (duh!). I really don't have the funds for a brand new one and was hoping to pick one up for a pre-owned discount.

That looks great! I'm pricing out some options from Givi right now to see if I can come in cheaper than the Ducati one and still have a nice backrest. If all else fails, and I feel nauseated by the overall cost. I will try to fashion one like yours.

Get the AltRider rear rack with the Givi Monokey brackets. Then you can mount up any Givi monokey rear case you want. It is a real clean installation. :D

I have the Ducati top case and it's the only case that really looks at home on the Hypermotard. I am happy with mine even though I never use it. I plan on keeping my motorcycle for a long time so it just doesn't make any sense to sell it. One thing to consider is that it isn't 100% waterproof. They include a bag that goes over it in case you're stuck in heavy rain. I guess it's all about what you're looking for. That's my .02 and they do show up sometimes at a very cheap price.

I'm totally digging this idea! It will probably end up significantly cheaper than the Ducati solution.

Thanks guys for the advice. I think instead of buying the OEM Ducati case, which is only 31L on top of the high price. I'm going to invest in the AltRider Rack and Monokey Kit and get a Givi for less than 1/2 the price . I hope I can get a back rest too
