ECU update. Different engine behaviour

Hi

Did 1000 km service last week.
They also updated the software for the ECU.
Mechanical told me that there may be a different behaviour of the engine.

And there was, according to my opinion.
(I still don't go over 7000 rpm)

Before update
Sport = Best throttle respons, good torque between 3000-5000 rpm.
Touring = A little softer throttle response.

After update
Opposite of above (almost)

Has anyone else experience this behaviour?

Maybe the update improved the Touring mode.
But what did it do with the Sport mode? More power over 7000 rpm?

Did you check that the config was still correct for Sport = High Engine Power and Touring = Medium ?

I got mine updated yesterday. Before there was quite noticeable surging at around 3-4krpm. Now it seems smoother. Sport mode seems more manageable but definitely more poke than touring mode.

I also had problems with it refusing to start after a stall or turning it off in traffic. 3 times it took over 5 mins to get it going again. Seemed computer related. Hope this is fixed.

The config is ok.
Sport =High, Touring = Medium, Urban = Low.

I agree that there was quite noticeable surging at around 3-4krpm in sport mode and is now more smoother.
But no more poke than Touring mode, actually less poke.

I send a mail to the dealer last week and today I got the answer.
Ducati has withdrawn the latest update this week, so I will go to the dealer next week and get a downgrade.

Could it be that mine 4th update was an downgrade.....? Who nows??

Maybe a good thing that I don't live near the dealer. Thanks for the info.

Today I was at the workshop to update the ECU software.
The latest software was already installed. Version 18.

Talked to the mechanic and he explained this about the latest update:

Touring mode
More torque och power in the middle range rpm, 3000-5000.

Sport mode
More power in the higher range rpm. Above 7000?
Have not been there yet, still running in the motor.

He said that Ducati is releasing updates all the time.

I have a 2013 Hyper 821 that stalls out with low rpm especially if I pull the clutch in coming to stop. My latest issue is it refuses to start until I turn the engine over 6 to 10 times. Most of the time the battery ends up dying before I can get it started and I have to charge then try again. Does anyone know if this software updated any cold starting issues? I'm 100's of miles away from the closest dealer so I want to make sure before I go through the trouble of taking it in to make sure it's something I can't fix myself. Thanks in advance.
