Engine Oil Leak

Hi,

I noticed engine oil leak yeasterday as my parking lot had stain of drip.
I touched the bottom of engine and it was wet with the oil.
Is it the problem you expererienced?
Or was I unlucky?
I had some ECU problems in the past

and now losing my reliavility with my HS.

Some have noted problems with the oil filter not being tightened sufficiently. Did your problem occur just after an oil and filter change?

Check it's not coolant before you jump to conclusions. I have heard stories of a few coolant drips once in a while, in fact my own bike did exactly that after a 1400 kilometre run over a weekend.

I will bring my HM to the dealer and have them check with the filter and coolant.

Change my own oil. No leaky filter.

Good luck! She's a good bike. I always remember a sticker my stupid uncle had on his silly chopper half helmet: "If it has **** or wheels, it's bound to give you trouble eventually"

I got an oil leak at the vertical cylinder stud bolt, what was fixed under warranty. They had to remove the cylinder tough to get to the leaking o-ring...
Once you ve localized you re leakage, please share it ;-)

Hi Guys,

I brought my HM to the dealer and found the leak was from oil strainer bolt gasket(not oil filter bolt). They changed the gasket, oil and gasket of drain bolt under warranty.
