Essential height differences 2013/2015 model

hi guys,

I'm still searching for my future HS (and sold the good 'ol 996 in the meantime).
In August, I rented a 2015 version for a day and from that moment I'm HOOKED ! :D

Unfortunately enough, the 2015 version is WAY out of my league as a dad of 3 kids, so I am aiming for a 2013.
Problem is that the 2013 LOW is hardly available over here, so I have to work out a way to lower a standard version.
As far as I understood, the 2013 LOW and 2015 standard have equal ride heights/specs.

Can anyone tell me where the differences are and how to compensate them (cheap-ish) ?
I would like to keep the seat standard, as it felt pretty comfy over a distance of 250kms (170 miles) during my test ride.

- lower front fork through the yokes by 2 cm ?
- rear shock? err...

Hi Mike. Any particular reason you want the lower version? Mine's full height and at a shortish 5'10 I've got no problems.

Well, I rode the 2015 (as a rental) and that one was perfect, really.
I sat on a 2013 (standard height and seat) and I could only tip-toe on it.
Scary, and even without some side winds.
I'm about 1.69 m (what is that? 5"5 ?) and not shaped like Mike Tyson, so I want to plant my feet firmly. I have no experience with a 2013 with lower seat, but I doubt a lower seat will do the trick.

I'm a touch over 68" and I'd say that's about the comfortable limit for the old standard height. I can touch the balls of both feet but normally just tip it to one side and plant a single foot flat. It's my preferred mode of transport and this has never bothered me, even in nasty traffic with the bags loaded.

However, an inch shorter and it would be a tough daily commuter.
