Hi all, greetings from Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA!

I took a 2013 Ducati Hyperstrada, red color (fastest color :D) for a ride this weekend, and I'm seriously considering picking up my first Duc.

I plan on reading through a lot of the tech threads, but real quick, are there any issues I should look for? I'm aware of the voluntary throttle recall on the 2013 models, and that it's normal for the ABS light to stay on until 3 mph, anything else I should inquire about?

I've had zero problems with my '13. It gets abused.

Well that's good to hear! This one is stock aside from factory heated grips; do you have any mods? If so, any you'd recommend (or advise against)? I usually put aftermarket exhausts on my bikes straight away, and I always liked the look of Termis on Ducs, but the stock can is more than loud enough for me.

There are a number of the bikes that have had a complete electrical failure, but overall they are pretty reliable.

The only two things I did to mine was a SW-Motech skid plate, and added my auxiliary LED lights. I will be adding a clutch cover guard soon, because it gets scuffed easily by my boots.

Thanks for mentioning that, I've just been reading about the electrical problems caused by the front coil...something to consider.

Those sounds like some good functional mods!

I've upgraded to the taller windshield. Other than that, no mods. Since I use my Hyper for officiating bicycle races. I'd like the exhaust to be a bit quieter stock. I wouldn't have to shout so much when talking to the athletes. Heated grips would be nice and are on my list of things to do.
