How to remove the front sprocket? I've undone the nut and washer but the sprocket is hitting the back of the foot rest brackets can I undo the bolt enough to give me room or do I have to take the foot rest assembly off completely?

yep pretty sure you gotta take the footpeg bracket off. Careful with the bolt it's made of aluminum.

You have to take off the foot rest bracket -just 2 bolts and the big nut.

Also undo the shifter linkage - one nut.

Also - there's an o-ring back there. I replaced mine - some say it's not necessary for every sprocket change. Just so you know it's there.

One last thing: one user reported that the sprocket nut came loose and recommended folding over 2 ears of the washer. Seems like a good idea.
