I am trading in my Hyper. This is a Akrapovic slip on with link pipe for 821 Hyperstrada or motard. The canister part# is D8SO1-HRT and the link pipe is part# L-D8SO2. The Akrapovic website shows a different canister part number (S-D9308-RT) for 939s, I don't know what the difference is because the physical dimensions and mounting are the same for the 821 as discussed in the "Pipes" thread. The whole system is in excellent shape, no scratches, or scuffs and has about 5000 miles on it, The canister has the DB killer installed. Revzilla is currently getting $634.00 for the canister and $161.00 for the link pipe. You can find them slightly cheaper if you look hard enough, but your gonna pay somewhere between $750.00 to $850.00 for the whole set up.

$450.00 shipped to the lower 48. No international sales (sorry). Paypal preferred

A few reasons:
1. I got a really good price on a SF848 and I have always wanted one.

2. If I would not have got the deal I'm getting I would have kept my Hyper, but I am at the point where I was about to dump $1500 - $2000 into the suspension on the Hyper to get it the way I want it.

3. I want something with a little less of an "upright" riding position. I understand this is part of the Hyper's design, but I commute a lot on the highway.

I like the Hyper and would be happy keeping it if this deal would not have come along. I am going to miss the bags and will be probably be buying a set of SW Motechs for the SF.

Don't mean to hijack your sales thread for discussion but I have both the HS and SF and I also commute a lot on the highway. I would say the upright position on the HS is much more suited for commuting, and it has much better protection from wind and rain. The HS also has a much easier gearbox.

Overall though I love the SF much more than the HS, because it has a more extreme riding experience and sounds way better (with Termis). However I ride the SF only on sunny days because it's not a very 'forgiving' bike. The HS feels safer in the rain.

Bottom line: if it's going to be your only bike, the SF is not a great commuter. If you can afford it, get the SF but keep the HS :D
