Fuel Gauge Solution?

Hi...anyone have an idea to tag in a fuel gauge for this bike? I couldnt find any aftermarket parts.

Haven't seen that one yet. There is a viable option for aftermarket gear select display, which I'd rather have. Actually been wondering if swapping a multi control panel would be possible, as it has fuel gauge and gear indicator.

the count down fuel minder isn't ideal, but I would say the Strada has a very consistent burn rate. I don't always drive it like it's stolen, but I know the worst mileage I'll get and you can easily set a "no more than" mileage point.

The multi control which have fuel gauge is the Multistrada but some reported is not accurate!! Ducati managed to built good bikes but what happen to the simple instrument like the fuel gauge? Even a Honda Cub have fuel gauge for GOD SAKE!

I'd rather have a fuel gauge then a gear indicator? Still never crashed my bike from thinking I was in 3rd but actually had 4th...

R6 chase- good point! I just set the trip meter and know that at about 110 miles the light will come on and the miles will start counting up- and theres still more than a gallon in the tank to burn.

What about the average consumption readout? That's a sort of fuel gauge if you do the math. If I'm taking it easy, it hovers around 55 mpg. If I stop at 110, I can only get 2 gallons in so that display seems fairly accurate.

I would be wary of running it dry, that's bad for the fuel pump. But yes the light seems a bit overeager.

I think your swinging more for range anxiety. I would just like to have an accurate fuel gauge. The rotopax would be good if I was in a very remote location or taking a long journey, but, that's 30 extra pounds on the back and you've lost the paniers. That means stacking things high on the pillion, which I personally think is bad for CG. If I had to get an extra 50 miles of range, I'd probably just carry a couple MSR bottles. There's a couple luggage manufactures that make MSR holders, like Mosko Moto (just got their Back Country 30L duffle and it's amazing quality).

Not trashing this mod. Just think if you need a 200 mile adventure bike, this is the wrong pick. It's not designed to carry 50 extra lbs on the tail. It's a little hooligan bike that got some touring mods.

I swear there was a extra large fuel tank that somebody was designing many years ago. I think they had a product for the air cooled Hyper. They enlarged the lobes that draped in front of your knee caps, which actually probably helped block wind/rain from your lower body. This is where you would want the extra weight ideally.

On rides where there is questionable access to gas stations I carry two gas cannisters (technically for white gas, but, whatever). If I run dry, conservative throttle use with those two canisters would buy me roughly 35 miles which unless I'm REALLY out there, should be enough to get me out of trouble.

Absolutely true on weight added to back. In certain places in India, the fuel pumps are 200km away which brings in this anxiety. For me the Hypermotard is perfect for city runabouts while stretching a leg on highway for long. The windshield made a difference. I need to redo it to cut the rattle on rough sections
