I pulled the trigger on a 821 HS back in August with the intention of commuting and the occasional camping/road trip. With the borders still closed due to COVID-19, the missus and I figured it would be a good time to do some exploring "locally", and decided to ride the old girl from our home in Brisbane up to Airlie Beach to have a look at Whitehaven Beach and the Great Barrier Reef. Our route was roughly as below (although we made a conscious effort to stay off the highway as much as possible).
The bike didn't miss a beat thankfully (the most northern Ducati dealer is in Noosa...), and including all of our little detours, we ended up covering about 2,700 kms there and back (~1,700 miles) over the course of a week while 2-up with full luggage. It was a great time!
