Hello , new to this site , thinking about buying the Hyperstrada and trading in my Multistrada as it is a bit big for me and after riding the demo Hyper last week it just fit me perfectly !!

Welcome! I haven't ridden a normal hyper to compare but the strada is an amazing bike

The Multistrada is an incredible bike, my model is actually the Pikes Peak model. I think if they would have had the hyperstrada i would have picked that instead, The Multi looks incredible , but it a bit big for me and though i ride it very well [been riding for 40 years ] i felt more at home on the Hyperstrada , like i have owned one for years, I have had many Ducati's in my life and i just think its a great fit for me

I also had the Multi12 2010, the HyperStrada fits me pretty well also. The engine sounds and feels much like the Multi12 also, power starts above 4k rpm, just like the big brother.

Tough call, they are both excellent bikes, and they are quite different. The Hyper is not really able to compete with the Multi on many levels of performance...power, handling and suspension. The Multi is really a better bike. That being said, the Hyper has it's place in my garage. It small, light, quick steering, and just plain fun to ride. I have both a 2013 hyper and a 2013 Multi. If I was forced to keep just one, it would be the Multi. I would be heartbroken, because I love my little Hyper.

Also, I previously owned a 2010 Multi, and the new 2013 is amazing in comparison. Absolutely flawless fueling, and the sky hook suspension is a technical revolution.

As to fit, I am 5'11" and the Hyper is just so easy to move around...not only around in the garage, but around on the road. If I want to make a quick u-turn, I don't even think twice about it. Dirt roads...no worry. With the Multi, and the extra ~90 pounds and extra height, I am definitely more cautious when maneuvering. Both bikes are brand new, and I'm sure there is some "fear of a tip over".

I used to struggle to get 42 mpg on the Multi12, I got 52 mpg today on a ride with my HyperStrada. Varying speeds from 60 - 80 on a two lane. You may have a bit more wx protection on the PP, but there is no dirty air on the HyperStrada.

thanks wildbill and SupertTen for the input . i am 5' 8" 155 lb , so i am not the biggest of people, but i am a capable rider as i have ridden since the age of 7 on my first bike and now have 40 years under my belt, dont get me wrong i love the multi pikes peak, love the way it corners . cruzes , the looks are amazing.etc. there is just something about that hyperstrada that just makes me want it , and after riding a demo last week that feeling is even stronger. im not 100 % sure ill even do anything , i have a buddy who owns a ducati dealership and he can help me out big time with pricing on the hyperstrada , as far as trade in would go ,i would loose my *** so i probably would sell outright on ebay or something if i decide im going to do this.
