Hot Engine Starting Problems - Hyperstrada 821

Hi!

My hyperstrada 821 starts cold quickly and easily, but when the engine is hot, it's hard to start.No dashboard error code.Starter battery is new.
Does anyone have any idea?

Pretty sure it's normally a starter issue. Especially if you have a new battery. If you have a 2013-2015, you have a shit factory starter.

If your battery and starter check out (for now), I had trouble with mine when very hot, it would flow gas and forget getting the gas cap off as the suction in the tank was so bad, had to let it just sit and cool enough to get the cap off and release the vacuum in the tank, they the gas would flow again, you have to get it pretty hot to do this...

I always shift to neutral when starting. Those are 2 big high compression cylinders so good to take any load off the starter system.

Happens to me all the time. When hot: example , after a gas stop, I have to push the start button and give some gas at the same time in order to start the bike. Pushing just the start button is not enough.
When cold, just a single push is enough.

Do you still have the evap canister on? Believe that was the source of a members warm start issue, but his was always after fueling.

That can is no good. Just ditch it.

My Hyper doesn't have evap canister,it is an European model.
If I know correct,USA models are equipped with an additional system featuring a Canister filter that prevents fuel fumes
from being discharged into the atmosphere.

I always shift to neutral when starting.

The problem is constantly occurring, even after direct refueling or even with 2 Liters residual fuel in the tank.

I checked the starter motor bolt and it is black so probably Taigene.

Hi,
My 2016 Hyper 939 has a similar problem. Cold start is fine, though slight hesitation is there. But once engine is hot and stopped it won't start again easily. It takes 2 or 3 attempts and mostly with some extra throttle. Had a lot of missing while running but that got solved by cleaning the fuel line, tank, injector etc. The start failure issue while engine is hot still exists.
