Hey all,

I'm about to do a 3000 mile trip in the US. I'm from Canada, and here most of the premium 91 octane or more gas is ethanol free.

In the US, how easy is it to find 91+ octane gas that has less than 10% ethanol? My dealer told me that my warranty would be void if I used greater than 10% ethanol gas and the engine breaks down.

I'll be travelling through New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia.

Help please!

Don't worry about it. Just buy gas and ride.

The website showing ethanol free gas is out of date and the stations that offer that gas are low volume out of the way stations.

I base my position on decades of cross country riding.

Ethanol becomes an issue for bikes that are being stored. Not an issue for bikes being ridden daily.

It is not particularly easy to find ethanol-free fuel in the US. It's all 10%, which will not void your warranty.

The map on this site is temporarily busted, but it's the best resource for ethanol-free gas...

Thank you both for the quick response! So, I guess you have not had any issues with gas.

Is it easy to find Shell, esso, etc? Or do you just buy premium gas anywhere?

Just buy gas where convenient.

The small gas tank size will require frequent stops.

In rural areas I plan gas stops ahead of the ride and make these stops part of the route.
