Just got my 2015 Hyper- 5th/6th gear issue

Just got my new Ducati, It is awesome. thinking of selling my Road king. Picked up the Hyper as I wanted the traction control and ABS so I can keep riding through the winter here in Northern Ca. Here is my help needed. As I am accelerating and going through the gears it sometimes misses 6th gear. Meaning I lift up to go from 5th to 6th and my engine revs and I have to shift again...
Anyone ever see anything like this. I'm used to slamming through the gears on my harley with no issue.

Thanks for your help

Thanks Kuksul,

Thought maybe it was me and I needed to man-up....

Be sure to make nice positive shifts. Don't be too lazy with the shifting until it breaks in.

After 2000 miles it mostly went away and after 5k I think I only had 1 false neutral. One of the best transmissions I've owned.

+1. Had them often when new. Takes a firm boot and the clutch is very sensitive to play setting.

...

I have about 4000km now. The false neutral happens very easily between 5th and 6th and I can feel basically two shifts when shifting between 5 & 6th. I've learned to do long sure shifts as suggested here.

Shift lever adjustment is critical, too...keep it low enough that you get a good full stroke. I never had much trouble between 5th and 6th, but have hit neutral between first and second when I get sloppy with the boot. By the time I'm in fifth, I have figured it out!

if shifting lazy you can find neutral nearly between all gears ;)

I find this gearbox shines when being driven hard. For around the town put-put...she resists

Plus 1... takes firm shifts and shines when ridden hard.... like the rest of his bike. Definitely not a Japanese bike with smooth, low effort everything..
