My 14 Hyper has started quitting on me on the last few rides.I'm not talking about a deceleration quit coming to a stop, which might be the evap. Although I'm pulling it off tonight as a precaution.
I'm talking about going dead under power, like passing cars. Feels like its run out of fuel and comes to a complete stop. At this point, I can just wait a second or two, hit the start button and drive off. Coming home uphill, happened twice in a couple hundred feet, this time, i'm wiser, I get out of gear and hit the start button and gently drive away.
Kickstand sensor seems to be fine by meter, coming on or off halfway through the travel. I can bypass the kickstand, but I just don't see anything consistent with that issue.
Getting dangerous at this point.
Is there a fuel filter on this bike? I don't see one in the parts manual. I'f the canister does it, fine. But not fitting exactly to previous threads that I can find. Considering pulling fuel pump to see any hokyness.
I had the canbus updated over the winter and all updates done.
Anybody want to take a shot at it? My local Duc reps are pretty useless.

There was a Gen 1 issue with stalling, usually when shifting in the upper 3 gears. I believe it was solved with a TPS update.

More recently, I had a short in the forward fuse box that would kill it. But would blow the fuse and I couldn't restart it.

Well, it looks like it was the evap. I deleted it and the stall at speed has gone away. Also seems to have a bit more low and midrange punch. And I believe I hear more lovely decel pop, which to me would mean a richer mix?
I'm thinking there was a problem with it, more than the usual issues.
Ehhh, Italians...

When I picked mine up from my dealer after the 600 mile break in service, the manager told me my EVAP "fell off". They had utter disdain for the device. It can definitely get flooded if you top off your tank. If I spend a while at the pump burping my tank to get all 16L in there, gas will eventually trickle from the vent line, which I think was connected to the EVAP.

Yes, I had serious problems with it not starting. The main problem is that the vapors line is on the wrong side of the tank (left) and even if I never overfill the gas tank, if I put it on the side stand shortly after filling up, it would have trouble starting. I removed it and sometimes I see some gasoline dripping down the release hose.
