The test ride was great, love that sport mode!
But now the clutch is acting like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide. Starting off can be as smooth as silk and other times is just GRABS at the last second. You better be pointed in the right direction! Scary.
I have the lever set where the manual says it should be. Does the slipper clutch need to be adjusted? The bike did sit for almost a year, seldom ridden. I'm going to do an oil change to see if it makes a difference.
The bike supposedly had a full service at the 4,000 mile mark.
The other thing is the front brakes. Great bite but as I slow down I get this pulsing sensation. It's like riding a pogo horse, not good for slow speed maneuvering.
I don't think the rotors are warped because it doesn't do it at higher speeds. I think maybe they got something on the rotor/pads when they were detailing it. Maybe a good rotor cleaning is in order.
Did anyone else have trouble getting the center lip on the seat to catch? It looks like it hasn't been under the lip because of the wear on the plastic and the paint. It was just sitting on top. I'm going to try and shim that cross brace up to it the seat catch will go under.
Flipping through the owners manual I discovered that Ducati doesn't want you working on the bike! It shows you what the chain adjustment should be but not how to adjust it! Luckily the internet helped. I think I have a shock tool that will work as a chain adjustment tool.
Any advice appreciated. Looking forward to some mods from this Forum.
Here's a quick question: I like being out in the open air during the summer months does the Hypermotard "wind shield" fit the Hyperstrada?
Thanks again.
