Left boot horror

Ok, you’ll laugh. But after that throw me some answers. The archaic boot (pictured) is the most recent casualty of something on the left side of my 939. Experienced this with set of old boots, brand new boots, high tops, and now this after 50 miles on PCH. I‘ve run my hand over the corresponding area on the bike and naturally don’t see or feel any rough spots.

On my Ducabike setup, my inner toe rubs really bad on the gear shifter when rowing through gears. Wasn't something that bothered me on the OEM.

If you got fat feet, friction and sporty rearsets are just the reality. They probably assume everyone has armored racing boots on.

Fat feet! I beg your indulgence, ha ha! I gave it a close look after the photos today. The preload adjuster had some sharp edges on the ribs. Turned it 1/2 turn where the “ribs” were smooth. Will see if this, as unlikely as it seems, will alleviate the problem.

Btw, I noticed that all the young guys in Italy are in fantastic shape. Prob because the women equally unbelievable!

I'd guess center stand? I have BIG feet (size 13) and haven't had any unusual wear issues. Only difference between our bikes is the Motard doesn't have a centerstand. Looking at your pic, I could see my heel rubbing on the foot from that stand if I was getting after it.

Believe me, aside from soccer as kids, they aren't really a fitness based culture. Just those amazing Mediterranean genes, phenomenal fresh fruits/ veg, and a lot of walking around hilly towns. Most of them still smoke. They aren't heavy drinkers, either.
