Lowering the bars

Hi all.

I'm going to lower and while I'm at it replace the bars and risers with black versions. The two main bolts though, how do you get them out? None of my spanners of or sockets fit, is there a special Ducati tool or do I need to get in there with some pliers?

Don't think there's any special tools involved.. Looks like a standard 15mm nut on the bottom and I think a 6mm Allen Key on the top.. But don't forget you will have to buy two bolts as well from the HM.

The bolts are standards. I lowered my bars by taking the spacers out. I used standards tools even if it is a pain in the neck to access the bolts.

When lowered, you have to change the bolts for shorter ones (hypermotard standard)

When I lowered my bars (removed spacers), I was able to re-use the same bolts by flipping them over. Install the bolts so the nut is inside the bar riser. There is plenty of room for the excess bolt length in the riser.
