Just wanted to quickly introduce myself. I just purchased a brand new 2013 Hyperstrada in white and haven't even had my first service yet. The only modification so far on the bike, is a fender eliminator kit. Past bikes include a 2007 BMW K1200s, Yamaha FJR1300, Buell 1125r, HD Roadking, Buell XB12SS and a Buell M2 Cyclone.

I generally ride 2up with my wife now and so far the Hyper seems to be the right mixture of hooligan bike (like my Buell's were) and comfortable sport tourer (like the BMW and Yamaha).

I occasionally upload videos from my trips on youtube, just search for VRAnils if you are interested.

Thank you very much for having me.

Welcome, VRA. I sold my '06 Lightning Long to help pay for my Strada - the Buell was a hoot, with an amazingly advanced chassis, high end suspension bits, and ridiculously low maintenance....but I kept hitting the rev limiter in the lower gears and the frame would cook me in hot weather. No such problems on the Duc!

Enjoy your ride.

Yeah the Buell XB's ran a "little" hot in the summer heat here in Texas as well. Thanks for the welcome guys.

Welcome! Make sure that your dealer has done all software updates necessary. 2013 was the first year for the bike, and the updates made the bike significantly smoother to ride (the standard throttle response prior to updates was very abrupt even in touring mode).

And yeah, amazing bike to ride. It puts a smile on my face every morning that I ride to work, including Mondays!
