New here - Now with White 2013 Hyperstrada

Hi! Just joined the forum after lurking for a week or so.

Looking around for a white Hyper and have my sights set on a barely used (300 miles) and a NOS. Both 2013. Prices are similar, and the NOS will also not have a warranty. According to the dealer, the old management activated the warranty back in 2013 so its all gone. The issue I'm having with getting the NOS is that I will still have to pay the destination, setup, etc. So leaning towards used.

In the process of getting rid of an NC700X. First non-sport and non-Duc I've owned in a long time. Before that I had 848, S2R800, 749, 748, 900SS, 748, 900SS. Decided to try something more upright due to my move to Jacksonville, FL area. No use being hot and hunched over if there's only 3 good curves in the entire state. :)

Anyway, glad to be here. Hope to be a rider soon.

Ok, it's official! I picked up the NOS 2013 White from the dealer. The person selling the used one didn't have title ready.

Keeping my fingers crossed since all the warranty expired. Registered as a demo model with Ducati, but wasn't actually used as a demo. Oh well, any used 2013 would not have any warranty left anyway.

Only put 50 miles on it so far. Definitely need a bigger windscreen.

Congratulations on the new ride. With what you have had in the past you will find this to be a completely different engine for Ducati. It does not have the bottom end torque that you are probably used to but it sings in the higher revs. Just get used to it and you will love it. OH YEA, I have found on the hyper that the farther forward you get on the bike the better it handles and the more comfortable you will eventually be. Kiss those mirrors in turns.

Good job. :D

Thanks for the riding tips. Will definitely keep that in mind. Though not here in FL. But I do have a couple of trips planned up north to NC.

Thanks,
