Hi guys,
I'm looking at purchasing one of these Hyperstrada's as I feel it's the bike best suited for my lifestyle here in NYC and commuting to work 25 miles. My riding background is pretty solid for being 30.... I figure around 80k miles. Bikes included SV650, ZX6r, FJR1300, ZX6r, S1000rr. Anyways, what do you think about pricing for a 2013-14 leftover model? I am working with a couple dealers on a leftover 2013 or 2014 model. Price wise I'm at $9,000 plus some fees including destination of $800. Also a setup fee around $600. I have the option of red and white. 2013 white w/ a few miles and warranty for a year and a half. 2013 red w/ a few miles and warranty for a year and a half. 2014 red w/ 700 miles and warranty for between a year and year and a half. That was the demo model. What are your thoughts on these prices? Should I jump on them? Thanks for the advice and this great site.

Good questions.
I have to think about it but first thing that pops in my mind is go for the 2014 version and have all updates installed.
Strange that a brand new 2013 model only comes with 1 year warranty...?

Not sure why only 1 year warranty. Demo bike? Ask the dealer.

As for the pricing deal I think it's pretty good. Go for the 2014.

So here is the rundown, I got a few things mixed up in my original post and since edited it... 2013 white w/ a few miles and warranty for a year and a half. 2013 red w/ a few miles and warranty for a year and a half. 2014 red w/ 700 miles and warranty for between a year and year and a half. That was the demo model.
Any differences between the 2 years? I couldn't find anything in my search. All those are at 1 dealership for the same price of 9k. I'm also negotiating on a new 2013 white w/ a couple miles and full 2 year warranty but his price is about 1k- 1.5k more. Not sure if it's worth it for a little longer warranty.

I got my 13' white demo for $7500 out the door. Had 5k miles, and a year and a half warranty left. I think those prices are a bit high.

$9000 is a good price for essentially new bikes from the dealer and with warranty. $7500 at 5k miles is different, but also a good price. Either model, whether '13 or '14, is a lot of bike and a lot of fun for the money. My dealer offered extra warranty for a small cost, and I added that when I bought it new. Just don't expect your Ducati to be a soulless bike with no personality. It's a sharp tool and different from the usual super smooth Hondas, etc. of this world. The throttle action reminds me of a heated argument in Italy... but I like it. Leave it in sport mode and adapt... just my opinion..
